Just so you’ll know.......

We celebrated Thanksgiving in New Orleans so we could visit the Tutankhamun exhibition. We stood in a tremendously long line for 7 hours.

We had driven 700 miles for the opportunity

At 5:00 an announcement was made that there would be no more visitors allowed. Exxon Executives would be given VIP tours.

There was a tremendous outcry, near riot. The line consisted of hundreds of people

The Exxon chief learned of the crowd anti Exxon response and agreed to pay the museum to stay open

The treasures, the fantastic beyond belief art objects is still on my mind more that 50 years later. It was and is just magnificent

Great way to start the day. Thanks. They really were on top of their game and had talent out their ears. SNL in the early days. Sure, they were liberals, but darn funny ones.
