Talk about your catch of the day, maybe lifetime. A little boy fishing with his father in Florida in their Palm Coast backyard the other evening had quite the unforgettable experience. In a video on dad Sean McMahon’s Facebook page uploaded on Sept. 30, you can see the child at the edge of a body of water reeling in a fish
The fish was a bass, his dad explains in the caption that says: “Alligator Alert: Dawson caught a bass tonight and out of nowhere an alligator came up, ate the bass and ripped his pole into the water.”

Toothpick and floss. Very thoughtful.

There is so much we can learn from alligators.
Like how to be a pair of boots.

A larger or more aggressive gator might have gone for the kid.

Thanks for the confirmation. I knew they didn’t just materialize out of thin air, errrr, water.

Miving from colder states, 3/4 of the population in fla is oblivious to the fact they live among creatures that could kill you or make you their next meal. Deer, fire ants, huge hornet nests in your eves, sharks, 6 different poisonous snakes in your yard, 20 foot pythons crawling thru your garden you dont even notice, deer, bears, coyotes, your neighborhood "sweetie" pitbull, idiots driving while texting, rotten treelimbs.
Life is hard, harder if youre stupid or ignorant.

Ok, I like Florida’s politics, but what a God forsaken place to raise a family. That kid could easily have been snatched by that gator. His family would been emotionally destroyed. Washington state may be a liberal sh!thole, but no creatures are going to crawl out and snatch your children away,…well, except Bigfoot maybe.

Curious why deer are in your list of deadly creatures. Where we live the urban deer are all over the place and typically looking for handouts with homicide the furthest thing from their minds. Unless you plow into one doing 60 on your motorcycle you will probably walk away unscathed from your encounter.

“6 different poisonous snakes in your yard”
Rattlesnake, coral snake, cottonmouth, copperhead, and...?
It’s a real question; wondering if an invasive species has turned up.

Can you imagine the dental bills if a gator gets tartar buildup on the gum-line?
