I use Google Translate to communicate to my extended family in the Philippines ..
This morning, I have an automatic popup (in the upper R corner) for the feature and I don't know why, nor can I get rid of it.
I've searched settings and can't find anywhere why this is, nor how to get rid of it.
Anyone ?
Half the Internet is down. Probably related to that.
Good.
Let it all crash.
The day the internet disappears permanently will be a day of liberation for mankind — and a cause for celebration.
THAT option is not in my settings
China is supposedly just moving in to Bagram air base and the internet is buzzing on THAT too.
Bagram is a central base to SE Asia, Europe, Russia and Africa as opposed to flying WAAAYYY West or SW from the nation, China.
Just sayin'
Thanks, I never knew anything but google translate.
Try it out and see if it works as well as google translate. I believe it’s using the google translate service but running it through the duckduckgo interface. It’s not perfect but it gives you an extra layer of privacy, but nothing perfect if you aren’t managing how your browser stores (or doesn’t store) cookies, or using a VPN or tor.
It’s just translation stuff, but to me I avoid using google directly as much as possible. Not as much about privacy as it is about not feeding the giant.
I will, and BTW ... I found how to turn it off.
I found it, thanks
What OS are you running, and is the browser you are using Chrome?
yep, Chrome.
Is this being done via an app on a smart phone? Which brand of smart phone are you using, and what is the app?
What operating system are you using?
Initially, I thought, “Amen, brother!”, but then I realized that, at least in Kanadahar (Canada), the MSM is all about villifying those ‘knuckle-dragging, unvaxxed, Christian, superspreaders, who are causing ALL the Covid issues, who are causing the ICUs in Edmonton and Calgary, to turn away ALL patients and causing hour long delays for ambulances!’
If it WEREN’T for the internet, I would have seen NO evidence AGAINST all the CCP-Coronavirus Bravo Sierra spread by the bought and paid for (True-dope have given the Kanadaharian MSM over $600 MILLION over the last two years) and lying politicians. Among the truth that the internet allows us to see, is that it is the DOUBLE VAXXED who are the ‘superspreaders, and allows us to see how much of an evil, manipulative socialist troll, Fauxi is!
I DO agree that FYoutube, Fakebook, Twitter, Google, etc., ALL being shut down, would be FANTASTIC! An EVEN PLAYING FIELD would be the best!
Rush is already gone. National Review has been worthless for years. I don’t want the internet to go away too. All that’ll be left for “news” will be the drive-by media.
