Have not seen this on FR so I’m posting about it.

Apparently someone on n Amtrak train started shooting after cops came in. Unclear at all what the synopsis is. So I’ll speculate that there was a bomb threat, passengers were all evacuated, then cop with dog (looks like Lab, so bomb sniffer only, not serious attack dog) goes in then rushes out and guy comes to door and fires some.

Otherwise, I can’t speculate much because it does not seem many details are known.

TUCSON, AZ — Police are investigating a shooting involving officers at a Tucson Amtrak station Monday.

The incident occurred on Amtrak’s Sunset Limited train, Amtrak said, according to ABC15’s local sister station, KGUN9.

All passengers and crew members on the train, which was headed from Los Angeles to New Orleans, were evacuated into the Tucson station.

If it was in Tucson proper, no big deal, but Amtrak is federal, so 99% of the event will be the chaos after the event.

For an intentional train derailment in the southern desert, with some kook leaflets scattered about, they sent in hundreds of FBI agents to police up every scrap of little, tire track or footprint over a 10 square mile area.

Messing with trains is very high on the federal freak out list.

I’ve seen some strange characters on my 3 cross country Amtrak trips. Always get a room if ya can afford it. Coach is like Greyhound, maybe worse.

Same run as the major accident in AL 3 decades ago.

Also, I saw on FOX (that’s how I knew about the incident) CC video and it looked like some people were just casually walking away from the train, right before the cop tried to go in.

People even ran INTO the train when the guy started shooting out of the next car down!

The Amtrak is sitting there right now. Sound and chat for the channel have been turned off. The Amtrak arrived at 7:40 MST; you can back the recording up.

You can track back on this live webcam of the train station about 4 hours from now to see some action and hear a lot of gunshots and yelling like "Hey! Dog Handler! You're in the cross-fire, Bro!" and "Get that guy a tourniquet, he's been hit in the leg!"

A guy wanders through the area, then suddenly runs away. Passengers are evacuated..
