Ya, she did not shoot the perp even after he shot her partner AND she let some idiot from the back seat jump out of the car and jump over her to run past her.
Yeah. She ran like a rabbit. A fat rabbit. And the other cop who didn’t get shot practically emptied his gun into the perp and got bowled over by him. Either he was a terrible shot or the perp leaked out later.
Nonetheless, women are fully ready for infantry combat. Just ask General Milley.
Watch the whole video through. Her slide is locked back as she moves away. Did she only have one in the chamber at the start?

Notice how the truck’s bedliner seemed to come through it all OK.
There isn’t enough money in the world for me to do what police officers do and go through. All criticism aside, they stepped up, got shot and shot at but they did the job. God Bless and protect them all.
The department will probably find a way to praise porky. Eventually she will be promoted.
If you hunt, you know they run a short distance then bleed out. There is a trail that is pretty easy to spot. But of course they have a gun. So they are more dangerous than just following a buck. Read Hemingway, Green Hills of Africa Lions are especially dangerous even when they are bleeding out.
Everyone has to remember there is a guy in the truck who is injured from the crash. Then there are bystanders who keep encroaching. So, the scene is pretty hard to control. And there are lots of issues here. You can’t just keep shooting with people all around.
Would I want her to be the sole responder if I was in a life threatening situation? Absolutely not. That said, I can't immediately fault her for not engaging once her partner was shot. If you look at the her position relative to her partner when he first went down, she likely could not see her partner and could not be certain of taking a shot that might have struck him if/when he got back up. Had she opened up and struck her partner, there would be no shortage of FReepers criticizing her for having done so.
Fault her for her lack of physical condition and inability to control the situation? Absolutely. But I can't criticize her for not firing when her partner's position relative to her intended target was uncertain.
She did put a tourniquet on the leg wound which might have saved his life, the wound looked like it was near his inner thigh which could have damaged the main artery in the leg

Cruelty to shetland pony’s.
Agreed!
That split second, where police now have to second guess “Will I go to prison for this move?” is the same split second where they get killed.
These officers sadly do not understand sectors of fire or lines of fire and frequently cross one another’s lines of fire. Of course to be able to do any of that they have to endlessly practice this stuff. At first I thought the officer on the passenger’s side had been shot by the officer on the driver’s side.
Any infantry unit I had ever been in would have had at least one Marine cover the idiot that walks into a gunfight. That way, everyone may concentrate on what is in front. That idiot distracted the officer and may have gotten him shot. If a Marine was unable to cover that idiot that walked in, we all would have backed out and reapproached orderly.
I couldn’t imagine being an occupant of the truck.
I think the chick saw it was a black perp when she opened the door and made a quick calculation: if I shoot him, no matter what, I go to jail even though he just shot my partner and he may kill me ….or she just plain sucks as a cop. Probably a little bit of both.
She should have capped that driver right after her partner took one.
Everybody has a plan until the shooting starts. Things break down pretty fast. Odd are, this is the first firefight the officers have ever been in. I can’t blame them for not doing everything by the book in their first actual combat.
