Poor Magnus Pyke. For the rest of his life he was plagued by random Yahoos coming up to him screaming, “Science!”

Never would’ve guessed Dolby was connected to Foreigner.

(IMHO, the best Foreigner album was their first one.)

He also wrote and played for Lene Lovich and others. I met him about ten years ago, but he mostly works on games now.

I wouldn’t know Thomas Dolby if he came up to me and shook my hand but I always liked a Christmas parody of his song called “I bought her an appliance”

I’m so burnt out on LZ I turn them off every time they’re on the radio. I don’t really like anything about the album Physical Graffiti.

Not a fan of Foreigner either. I don’t like the lead singer.

I’m burnt out on classic rock, in general. Lately I’ve been listening to 50’s and 60’s music and flipping around channels on Sirius.

Just another unwelcome symptom of getting older. It has become hard to avoid getting bored. My problem. I hope everyone else is faring better.

Every time I hear that song, I’m briefly 18 years old again and a senior in high school, walking down a snowy suburban street at night.

“I’m burnt out on classic rock”

Thank your lucky stars you’re from a generation that could become bored with classical rock. Could you imagine looking back at the hey days of rap? That could make you suicidal.

You might enjoy this song from the movie "Odds Against Tomorrow" (good movie BTW) with Harry Belafonte:

Not my cup of tea. Thanks anyway.

Try this. Here are the words so you can sing along:

Help me fellas
I’m feelin’ kind-a weak
The way I’m livin’ just ain’t right
I need somebody t’ watch over me
All my blue moon nights

I want a girl to take me by the hand
Follow me right down the line
Hold me gently while we dance
All my blue moon nights

Heaven only knows I don’t want to be
Just a fool, passin’ through
Won’t you send me an angel to walk with me
All my blue moon nights

Help me fellas
It’s gettin’ kind-a late
Runnin’ out of precious time
She might pass me while I waste
All my blue moon nights

Heaven only knows I don’t want to be
Just a fool, passin’ through
Won’t you send me an angel to walk with me
All my blue moon nights

This song suits me perfectly. It’s where my head is at, right now.

This Marxist rag pissed on Eric Clapton given his objections to the vax.

Thanks for the list. I tried most of them.

I liked the Jackson/Bonnie tune. It reminded me of the Bonnie Raitt concert I saw outside on the MSU campus in 1980. It was a phenomenal performance.

You really have to watch the movie to understand the song actually. It's about a heist, thus the name of the movie "Odds Against Tomorrow". 🙂

But you said 50s 60s, but that is wide open as there were lots of genres even then. So on the list I was kind of hitting around different kinds of songs. The Weavers originally did that song, and then Jimmie Rodgers made it a big hit. I've always loved that song.

Never can go wrong with Fogerty. I'll have to look into his new album. 🙂

As you can see I like all kinds of music. while I don't listen to Zep much, I ran across that song the other day, and thought it was interesting.
