Liftoff is targeted for 8:51 p.m. EDT tonight (0051 GMT on Oct. 1). Nine small satellites will launch to Earth orbit atop Japan's Epsilon rocket tonight (Sept. 30), and you can watch the action live.
An Epsilon is scheduled to lift off from Japan's Uchinoura Space Center tonight during a 4-minute window that opens at 8:51 p.m. EDT (0051 GMT on Oct. 1). You can watch live at Space.com, courtesy of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, or directly via JAXA. (FYI: JAXA's feed is in Japanese.)
The Epsilon will haul to orbit for JAXA the Rapid Innovative Payload Demonstration Satellite 2, or RAISE 2 for short, and eight tagalong spacecraft.

Very weird little ‘creatures’ in the commercials.
I guess it’s a cultural thing...

Think that’s for children watching but I don’t speak Japanese.

I remember many years ago reading a very interesting book called ‘The Myth of Japanese Efficiency’.
I’ve hoped that they’ve improved - and I must say that our first new Japanese car has done very well...

I have several hundred thousand miles on Toyotas.
Nothing ever broke. Nothing.
100% reliability.

The scenery is great. Parts of Japan look really beautiful (on TV.)
Maybe I’ll get there some day.

At least they didn’t blow it up.
I guess that’s setting a low bar but...it’s something.

Our Honda is 8 years old and only has about 30K miles on it - (we don’t drive much) - but we’ve spent so little on it, we went and had a 30K checkup and maintenance done, for ‘insurance’.
I expect it to last long enough to be the last car I own, though my younger husband will probably buy a little pickup truck soon.
(But car technology ain’t rocket tech...)

I know a Korean family who lived in a ‘Japanese Style’ house in Korea, before they came to the US. It was a beautiful little house.
The Japanese know how to do a lot of things really well.

It’s good to practice a lot, before you actually put people in them.
