Missing fugitive Brian Laundrie’s mother reportedly canceled Florida camping reservations for two people the day before he returned to his parents’ home without Gabby Petito — and then she made new reservations for three people.
On Aug. 24, Roberta Laundrie made reservations for two at the Fort De Soto Park Campground in St. Petersburg between Sept. 1 and 3, but changed them on Aug. 31 for three people for the weekend of Sept. 6-8, according to documents obtained by Fox News.
Her 23-year-old son — who has been named by police as a “person of interest” in Petito’s death — returned to his parents’ North Port home in Florida on Sept. 1 in her 2012 Ford Transit van.
The Laundries, who listed their Dodge pickup truck on the reservation form, checked in at the site on Sept. 6 and checked out two days later, the network reported, citing other documents it has obtained.

A person who used to work at Civic Plus, a software company that manages the Fort De Soto campground’s reservation system, told Fox News on condition of anonymity that he believed the Laundries may have known their son was coming home Aug. 31 and made the changes to their reservations.
The source told Fox that the information about the changed reservations has been turned over to the feds.

“The police treat domestic violence cases different when the women is the aggressor.”
That was portrayed in the stop but this week we learned the dispatcher told them twice that he had been hitting her.
I hope that one day we find out what sort of tale BL told mom and pop about his possession of Gabby’s van, sans Gabby. It should be a doozy.
And the Moab chief of police has taken a leave of absence. Spending more time with his family...
The first point was the police shouldn’t treat them differently.
The second point was people make different assumptions based on sex.
“Cause of death not revealed yet.”
Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue confirmed the remains are those of Gabrielle Venora Petito, date of birth March 19, 1999. Coroner Blue’s initial determination for the manner of death is homicide. The cause of death remains pending final autopsy results.
Haven’t followed this story.
He is called a “person of interest”. The article also calls him a fugitive.
Does a person of interest have an arrest warrant in existence? I think if someone is fleeing arrest then they are a fugitive. But if there are no explicit charges and arrest warrant, but rather he is sought for questioning (which he has no obligation to submit to), then he is not really a fugitive.
I just looked it up. A person of interest is sought only for questioning. They are not a fugitive from justice.
Dispatchers are in their own world. LOL
I believe he probably was hitting her.
But the cops, paramedics, fire depts. all do their own evals when on scene.
Dispatchers repeat what is told to them.
A real example: “Radio to Medic 9, respond to 2330 Glenhurst, 2330 Glenhurst for a CPR in progress.”
We arrived…….the CPR in progress was at the table eating dinner.
Happens often.
Yeah me too.
If all three end up in prison they’ll certainly have time to write a book.
I don’t envy the police in dealing with these domestic violence cases. The abused party will too often claim that it was an accident or something like that and plead that everything is fine now. But if there are credible reports that one party was physically violent they should arrest the perp and let the courts sort it out. That at least provides cool down time.
But I wasn’t on the scene and neither was anyone else. It’s sure easy to condemn and make up fantasies about what occurred while sitting in the comfort of home.
“Dispatchers are in their own world. LOL”
Nope. We have the 911 call transcript. The dispatchers accurately relayed the information.
“But the cops, paramedics, fire depts. all do their own evals when on scene.”
They cannot ignore witness 911 calls.
Police were on the
“Haven’t followed this story.

He is a fugitive from Federal charges stemming from credit/debit card fraud.
I agree. They likely feel guilty for the way Brian turned out and believe any lame story he told them about Gabby.
He could have told them Gabby dumped him and flew to her parents house. Or he dropped her off at a friend’s house.
That would explain why he drove home alone.
So he had 10 days before Gabby’s parents called looking for her. The story he told his parents probably changed many times.
“But if there are credible reports that one party was physically violent they should arrest the perp and let the courts sort it out.”
We have the 911 call that he was hitting her. That was relayed to the cops twice. Cops on seen only discussed that witness saw her slapping him.
“So he had 10 days before Gabby’s parents called looking for her. “
The parents called many times starting much earlier. They even went to the police days before the official missing report date.
I’m not saying the dispatchers lied.
Not at all…….I’m saying they are in a call center or HQ surrounded CADs (Computer Aided Dispatch Computers) radios and phones.
But at the actual scene, on the streets, things can be different than what the dispatcher was told or just different based on in person evaluation.
Dispatchers live in their own world because they never see what they’re sending people to. That’s what I meant.
They assume what they’re told is true and repeat it.
The people on scene determine what’s really going on.
“Shots fired”……there’s a good one. It’s often used to get police there quicker by the caller. But in reality there were no shots fired, it even a gun around.
Well if they had a credible report that she was slapping him then they should have arrested her. She might still be alive.
Still I wasn’t there. It’d be good to find out exactly what was said by all parties.
despicable...lying arses....they must have known what the creep son did and were already planning for his escape.
“But at the actual scene, on the streets, things can be different than what the dispatcher was told or just different based on in person evaluation.”
Maybe their were two witnesses but cops ignored witness that said he was hitting her and stated witness saw her slapping him.
“Still I wasn’t there. It’d be good to find out exactly what was said by all parties.”
The entire stop is public via body cams.
two mousey parents making arrangements for THREE......sounds like they knew that their future dtr inlaw was NOT coming home.....
how many calls did Gabby's parents make to them?......
