SEATTLE -- The voter-led effort to recall controversial Seattle City Council member Kshama Sawant will likely appear on the ballot of an upcoming winter election after King County election officials said Wednesday that the initiative appears to have received enough votes to qualify.
In a post on its website, King County officials said 10,687 voter signatures were needed in order to place the recall question on the ballot, and as of Sept. 28, the county had accepted and confirmed 11,350 signatures.
According to the county, 16,789 signatures were submitted and 14,508 of them had been reviewed.
Halei Watkins, spokeswoman for the King County Elections office, said the agency is working on "quality control" and likely expected to officially certify the votes later this week.
"Which is what will make it official that the issue will be put to the voters of Seattle City Council District 3," she said, adding that it is too late for the measure to appear on the November general ballot. "We are currently looking at December 7, 2021 for the recall election date but, again, that won’t be finalized until the petition is certified."
Only voters in District 3 will be allowed to cast a vote on the matter.

Any prediction on the outcome? Knowing how moronic Seatttle voters are, they will keep her. What a bunch of losers have taken over my home town.
If voters are that dumb, why does Deep State have to steal elections...? 🤔
Amazing how signatures for recalls at the local level are scrutinized but not for federal elections.
My wife lived most of her life in Seattle. Her mom moved her and her family there in the late 1950s. My wife says that Seattle was a very much different town in those early years. None of the crap you see today. A great city to live in, before the homo’s and commies came in and took over. They even had a republican US senator. She loved her adopted home town. But, we left in 2006 and came back to my home state of Alabama. She could not wait to leave!!! She had come to despise living there. She saw the city turn from good to bad to worse over those years and it really hurts her heart. She still has family in WA state and it begs why the hell they want to stay there, but those still there live under the stupidity of their idiot governor and the commie left that rules the city. We are happy in a free state now. The most conservative state in the union. Thankfully we are both free of the commie left of Seattle. They were idiots back then. NOW it is worse.
