The first human case of rabies has been reported in Illinois since 1954, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
A Lake County resident in his 80s woke up with a bat on his neck in mid-August, the health department said. The bat was caught and tested positive for rabies.
The man was told he needed to begin post-exposure rabies treatment, but declined, according to the health department.
One month later, IDPH said the man started feeling symptoms consistent with rabies, such as neck pain, headache, difficulty controlling his arms, finger numbness and difficulty speaking.

Another covid death
He should have used Ivermectin!
“The difference with the rabies vaccine and Covid vaccine
1. It works
2. Everyone else does not have to take it for it to work“
Excellent!!!
Oh, I was wondering… does rabies have a 99.7% chance of survival to those who contract it?….
Has Dr. Fauci been tested for this?...sarc

He declined?!?!?! Man, that is s.t.u.p.i.d.
Amazing they haven’t had a case there in so long. I remember there was quite a rash of these, maybe about 20 years ago? There was some young gal, she lived around animals, iirc, and she died of it. And some guy who was a Postman, who got bitten by a bat in his attic. I was surprised, he didn’t seek treatment, I kind of thought Postal Carriers get some kind of “animal danger” training, but maybe I’m wrong about that!
I remember because I stopped petting stray cats after that and told my daughter not to pet them either.
There was once a video on youtube of a young kid in the Philippines who was in the *advanced* stages of rabies. Ugly doesn’t even begin to describe it.
There is a vaccination for rabies, of course, but the treatment is for after you’ve already been bit and it’s different. The treatment is a series of shots - it used to be pretty harsh but I guess it’s not that bad anymore. If the bat tested positive for rabies, WHY DIDN’T HE GET TREATMENT? That’s nuts. Oh well. He died doing what he loved: Being a sh*thead.
Happened to me. I got the shots and here I am 20 years later.
Bats can get in when someone leaves a window open with no screen. Very common when the weather is nice.
Bruce Wayne's house?
I’ve had rabies shots. Glute these days, not stomach. Not too bad though worse than most. Didn’t make me as sick as the second Moderna Covid19 shot did.
how did a bat get in his house and on his neck?
He had a colony of bats in one of the rooms.
Nicely done!!
Darwinism.
Everything is possible in Illinois. Shoot, murder, bats …. Disgusting state.

Same people who have squirrels in their attic.
