Did mothers do that in the 50’s? I’m under the impression those type of conversations did not take place. It was just expected. Perhaps there were restrictions to keep a daughters life style in check. But, not sure there were talks about this sort of thing.
Constantly. We were all told growing up by both our mothers and our fathers. Common knowledge among us.

Families took their kids to Church back then where they got a lot of their moral teachings. And society as a whole was conservative in their views of morality in general. Now families are bombarded by amoral media that pollutes the minds of children with a variety of garbage on social topics that making it difficult to stop the constant onslaught on youth. It’s a dilemma.
