My Governor here in Texas has made a good show of protecting the border. He has a press conference where various agencies are displayed. 'Look at what I'm doing for the good citizens here in Texas.' But I am wondering if he is just nibbling on the edges of the problem. As far as I am concerned you're either all in or be quiet and go home. It's time to bring this to a head by deploying sufficient resources like the National Guard. There are all kinds of grounds to defend it in court. State security, health, uncontrolled immigration, human trafficking, local crime to name a few. It's no wonder I see an occasional bumper sticker that says: Secede! Hmm. Where do I sign?
Can’t argue with your concerns. You would think he would do more since he is up for reelection.
I think he is doing what he can do without the Stolen Administration completely Federalizing things.
Make them federalize everything! I live in Texas and see the results of the open border. Even hardcore democrat border politicians are crying foul. This needs to be our Fort Sumter moment.
I agree
Abbott is doing just about all he can. He cannot simply “take over” the fed’s responsibilities. He doesn’t have that power. In fact, he is juggling resources from elsewhere to do what he is doing. Credit him for what he is doing, and criticize Biden for what he is not doing. Biden is hamstringing the Border Patrol at every opportunity.
Oh I agree. Indeed.
Abbott’s not pure enough. Vote Beto so you can go “all in” with your complaining!
A couple of months ago, he made a big show of saying that people transporting illegals would be arrested.
Have you heard of a single one? I haven’t, and have looked for it.
I live in Houston. I see it too.
You need to post vanity on your thread so at least we know it’s an opinion or such.
