The FBI has issued a warrant for the arrest of Brian Laundrie. The indictment describes his use of Unauthorized Access Devices--in particular a bank card belonging to Gabby Petito for things of value of $1000 or more on or about August 30-September 1, 2021.
I’ve heard about the Florida law; but I also wonder how it would go with Federal charges.
And I assume, if they knowingly abetted him, they’d also be liable for civil suits from the girl’s family.
It might be a debit card...If he knows the pin, he can use it anywhere...
Seems like the warrant was needed to open a move on the chess board. Fascinating development.
I wondered if they found proof his parents were helping him so they made it a crime to do so. Without assistance it may flush him out.
As an example. About eight months ago, she called (we live in the south she is in the north) about 11pm, hysterical. He chased her into a bedroom with his hockey stick. She got in and locked the door and pushed a dresser against the door. He continued to bang on the door trying to break it down with the stick. She was terrified, called me. I demanded she call the police and she did although she was scared as to what it would do to her marriage. , I stayed on the phone . When they arrived, she grabbed her two kids and escaped downstairs. The psycho refused to come downstairs, stayed at the top talking to the police and pretended he was asleep and she went crazy, he had no idea what she was talking about. The police made one of them leave for the night, he refused. So she left and went to a hotel with the kids. At 4am the front desk called her room and said there was a man there looking for her. He had been looking through curtains and the security guard caught him. He told them he had to have the car seat in her car for the kids in the morning…………she went back the next day to “try and work things out”. I called the police department captain and I was furious that the police didn’t believe her, that she had to leave etc. said there was no sign anything had happened at the house. I asked if they looked at the bedroom door that was destroyed and he said they were not allowed to enter the house. So there you go. It is an insane story. So when I see this video of Gabby Petito, I see my daughter because that is exactly what she would do, cover for him and take the blame.
What about charges from the state of WY .
The van and credit card where stolen and used there.
That’s a great theory. Makes perfect sense.
Could be he used the debit card to get cash at an ATM. That would also provide video to identify him.
Keep praying.
That must be a living hell to deal with the never ending
Rollercoaster and the children involved .
My childhood dentist and neighbors had to hire people to kidnap their son and deprogram him from his girlfriend and her family .
Those poor children. Horrible.
Surely there must be a way to hold those parents accountable for the anguish they have caused Gabby’s family and the extraordinary expense to search for their son.
I’m not sure what you mean. I believe the credit card issue is a Federal charge - I’m not aware of a specific Wyoming charge regarding the van.
And again, how do you prove that they didn’t have investments in all of that together?
I’m just curious about the legalities.
Very sorry about this. all you can do is pray for a miracle that will return your much loved child to you.
Are the FBI smart enough to realize that it’s just his name, and he probably won’t be hanging out in a laundromat?
Well, I”m not really aware of what the boy’s parents have actually KNOWN.
Maybe I don’t know as much of the ‘inside story’ of the case as you do. I’m just going on what appear to be established as facts.
I see a lot of speculation and assumptions on the part of people who don’t really know anything but what they read on - and assume from - news reports; but the authorities have been holding all of the actual facts they possess pretty closely.
Add the Pulse night club shooting to the list
?
I was agreeing with you...
No Florida law enforcement agency has jurisdiction over crimes committed in another state...
The body was found and identified in Wyoming and with the condition of the body as described exposed to weather and animals for an extended period time is unlikely to have been moved from another jurisdiction.
