Having R-12 taken out of an antique immaculate campervan would be nice. How does one find someone certified as you in another state? The old condenser sat for a long time and does not condense. The system has lost no R-12 (that is, it will not take a charge.
Thank you for the information. The number of BS “kits” to convert to 134a using the same system as understand it- actually ruins the system/seals ... unless mistaken.
Overall point here was the constant “environmental” push that aids industry that is large enough to be forced to change over, costing citizens billions in the changing, for the reasons of the “ozone layer” “science” which is not, again the variance is solar related. But what do the world eco-socialists care about science if it gets in the way of destroying an economy.
But other problems— Chinese based. Such as a domestic Trane unit had to change out— and guess what— a heat pump valve to change over to heat pump from a/c cooling... the Trane guy told me its-— MADE IN CHINA, and brand new does not freaking work well at ALL. O
Just look up auto repair in the yellow pages. If you're in a populated area of a southern state, your yellow pages might have a section for auto air conditioning. Problem is, most will be set up for R134a and won't want to pull R12 through it. You might find a classic car specialist that is still set up for R12. I have two recovery machines and two recovery tanks. One of each for R12 and one of each for 134a.
