How does one find someone certified as you in another state?

Just look up auto repair in the yellow pages. If you're in a populated area of a southern state, your yellow pages might have a section for auto air conditioning. Problem is, most will be set up for R134a and won't want to pull R12 through it. You might find a classic car specialist that is still set up for R12. I have two recovery machines and two recovery tanks. One of each for R12 and one of each for 134a.

Yes-— that is wonderful. Have some friends who are Classic Car cruizers-— who fundraise for needy kids/cancer patients. Bet they have the ability or know who can.

The camper is a time machine. 22.5 real miles, OEM plug wires and plugs... and compression at spec on all cylinders, no wear at all. The auto a/c is the issue, so will check as you suggest. I do not want someone doing a conversion if all it needs is a new compressor that can handle R-12, with the correct oils.

Just one experience in the big ole world. Wish you were “down South” MO is fortunate to have you.
