Will he survive the tour?
I wish him well, though not a big fan. Seeing him like that really reminds one of one’s own mortality.
Definitely frail looking. His chair almost looks like a wheelchair.
I still play a couple of his songs on the bar jukebox: “One More Night,” “Taking It All Too Hard,” and “That’s All.”
In other news, Sweet Sweet Connie passed away today. I guess this is what getting old is like.
Only 70 and looking that bad? He looks as bad as his music sounds.
So what are his medical problems?
He should wait for alzheimers to kick in before singing land of Confusion...
Genesis... One of the most over rated bands of all time.
This is what geezer rock looks like.
Aside from "Life Is a Rat Race", his songs "In the Air Tonight" (in "Brother's
Keeper" and "A Bullet for Crockett"), "I Don't Care Anymore" (in "No Exit"),
"Take Me Home" (in "The Prodigal Son") and "Long, Long Way to Go" (in "Sons
and Lovers") appeared in the show.
He was also a member of the band Genesis, whose song "Land of Confusion"
appeared in the episode "Freefall".

Huge Genesis fan here. I’ve seen them at least a dozen times since 1978. Suppose to go see them in December at MSG. Seeing Collins like this is sad and scary.
Fact is Collins did it to himself.
Collins has always been high strung/high maintenance. He admitted in an article 10 years ago he was contemplating suicide because he couldn’t drum like he used too. He couldn’t drum like he used to because he had an injury (back i believe) which was the result of a fall while he was drunk. He was drinking heavily because he was depressed by his third divorce. All of his marriages have ended in ruin.
Sad to see- i saw all the top bands in the 70’s; Zeppelin, Queen, Stone, Yes, ELP, Moody Blues. And without a doubt Collins was always my favorite and best front man- funny, engaging, a true entertainer and not just the singer of a rock band.
Didn’t he divorce one of his wives via email?
Without Peter Gabriel then I’m not interested. Phil Collins is way overrated IMHO.
Is he that desperate and broke? This is pathetically embarrassing.
Just another day in paradise.
During the mid 1980s, you could not turn on a rock or Top 40 radio station without hearing either Phil Collins or his band Genesis within any given hour.
The "...But Seriously" album from 1989 featuring "Another Day In Paradise" was my favorite solo album by him even though at that point, his popularity was waning.
My B-I-L used to be friends with Albert Lee.
When I first met Albert he was about 60 and he could play Guitar like nobody’s business. He was a picker and a grinner.
Saw him at the NAMM Show a few Years ago and his playing isn’t what it used to be. He was still good, but it was apparent his age is really catching up to him. He must be in his late 70’s now.
Didn’t help that he broke his Arm when he stepped off a Curb in Paris and fell down some years back. The Broken Bone had to be reset by a Doctor here after the French Doctor screwed it up.
Of course there are exceptions to the rules. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present the one and only Keith Richards. Even falling out a Tree in Fiji and landing on his head has not stopped him.
So haters, eat a sitting-down d---.

I’ve always been rather lukewarm to his music. Not bad, but never at the top of my playlist. That said, I saw in an interview once that as a lad he had the opportunity to be an extra (one of the screaming fans) in the Beatles Hard Days Night movie.
