When faced with cheap beer, I’ll add jalapenos.

I used to buy a bottled beer that had a jalapeno in it years and years ago.

“though, she was wondering what other foods she could use it on”

I initially read it as “fools”..

in Japan, Taiwan and some SE Asian places, they serve beer and tomato juice at a 50/50 ratio, especially in hot weather.

I find the flavor OK, but some really like it, as the acid of tomato matches the carbs/sweetness of lager.

Hot sauce is a similar extension of that.

Sriracha sauce and Brew is good for you. You can become a flame thrower in the men’s room.

Some people will add hot sauce to their hot sauce. They become mildly addicted to feeling that burn.

I always figured that anyone adds stuff to beer doesn’t like beer. Kind of like adding stuff to coffee. I have seen people add ice, salt and the worst, vanilla milkshake to beer. The vanilla shake guy added alcohol to about everything he drank.

30 years ago in the Philippines I discovered “Canadian Prairie Fire”, a shooter of Yukon Jack and a healthy 8-10 splashes of tobacco. I was already a dozen shots to the wind, but it was still terrible.

Tabasco is one of the few things that made MRE's tolerable after a week or so in the field.

That being said, anyone putting Tabasco in beer needs to be buying better beer instead. Can't imagine putting that stuff in a nice bottle of Founder's Porter.

I eat plenty of foods with Tabasco (especially the smokey flavor). I usually drink beer with those foods.

I do not put the Tabasco in the beer. The beer is supposed to be a refresher so the Tabasco can do it’s damage all over again.

Buy good beer; forget the hot sauce. Save it for Mexican foods.

The Japanese put corn and mayonnaise on their pizza. Enough said.

My local brewpub does turn out a very nice, zippy habanero porter. You won't want to drink a lot of it but it sort of gives you that nice little warm tickle all the way down.
