Tobasco is plain nasty and I love hot sauce.

I drown stuff in hot sauce.

Tabasco is hyped for a reason. It is the best hot sauce in the world. The local version here (Frank's Red Hot) is popular on buffalo wings (and in Buffalo, NY) but it tastes like mildly spicy catsup compared to Tabasco.

In Japan, it is available everywhere, even in the local (Kansai area) co-op markets which are not famous for their foreign food offerings. I also take a teaspoon a day during the cold and flu seasons and haven't missed more than half a day of work since I started the habit.

So, yeah, it is pretty good stuff often imitated but never duplicated.

Agreed, though their green sauce is pretty good. As for me, my red sauce is Crystal.

When I add hot sauce, I use Frank’s.
