A tabletop gravitational wave detector based around a piece of ringing quartz has recorded two mysterious signals in its first 153 days of operation.
It’s unclear exactly what these signals are; they could be from a number of phenomena.

There’s always an Arquillian Battle Cruiser, or a Corillian Death Ray, or an intergalactic plague that is about to wipe out all life on this miserable little planet, and the only way these people can get on with their happy lives is that they DO NOT KNOW ABOUT IT!
And now you have gone and built a detector.

False alarm.
Stacy Abrams was trying to work out with a Dancercize video.
She was eating fries at the same time, dropped some and then slipped, falling on the carpet hard.
The gravitational waves may still be reverberating in the universe.

Seeing that there is a huge number of objects in the Universe, and each one affects other objects by what is known as gravity, it’s reasonable to conclude that the Universe is FULL of gravity waves. Expecting to find something meaningful, or a MESSAGE in that unimaginably huge quantity of gravity waves is what government grants are made out of.

"It's way too soon to come to any conclusions..." Very interesting experiment...
I give it a thumbs up...
However, as the article correctly states, it's way too soon to come to any conclusions...
Keeping in mind that even the "rippling" results that Virgo has detected have contained lots of results that were later "retracted"...
The data stream is shown in the Gravitational Events app that is available on the Apple App Store...
Statistics are a bitch sometimes...
