Mark Milley Exposes the Myth of American ‘Democracy’
GOPUSA ^ | Sep 17, 2021 | Josh Hammer

There could not possibly be a clearer example of how much the American ruling class is drunk on power and of how little it cares for any and all obstacles standing in the way of its accumulation and exercise of that power.

It also just so happens that, in this instance, those obstacles take the form of the quintessential defining feature of what usually separates a democracy or a republican form of governance from a dictatorship: ultimate civilian control of the military. In undermining that ultimate civilian control, Milley and his apologists are playing with fire. How bitterly ironic, too, that the same left-wingers who opposed Trump on ostensibly “fascist” or “authoritarian” grounds while simultaneously preaching about the imperative to save our American “democracy” are now the ones who, seemingly without fail, have taken to defending a Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman who has taken a blowtorch to the very definition of “democracy.”

Milley is, of course, the same man who has openly defended the merits of studying critical race theory in the military and, in general, seems far more preoccupied with preening for holier-than-thou wokesters than he does with ensuring the U.S. Armed Forces are adequately prepared to hunt down and kill America’s enemies in the most efficient way possible. In short, as National Review’s Dan McLaughlin tweeted: “To Mark Milley, the General Lee who has been dead for 151 years is a dire threat, but the General Li who commands the world’s largest army on behalf of a murderous tyranny is a chum.” That is damning almost beyond words.

The Republic was dead on Usurpation Day, January 20, 2009.

Our Constitution says natural born citizen.

Obama is not one.

ALL of our elected AND appointed swore him in anyway.

Everything that has happened since flows from that fatal mistake of NOT ONE of our representatives standing for the Constitution.

well. i’ve read enough history to know that Ike was no boy scout, so i’ll won’t comment on the so called Military Industrial Complex, except to say what we have now isn’t that.

but, i personally accepted that we weren’t a Republic anymore in 2008 when mccain, obama, and bush struck their corrupt deal to save their ruling class uniparty and goldman sachses of the world and get obama elected.

i should have guessed many years earlier with the elder bush and his crushing of the student movement in china with his buddies in the CCP at tiennanmen square, but hey, i was pretty much clueless about our real rulers at that point.

Here’s the deal.

We elect our top military Commander.

Commanders command military units.

Company Commander, Battalion Commander Corps Commander.

The President is Commander-In-Chief.

Milley, while he wears four stars, is not a Commander.

He is an unelected advisor.

He provides advice.

He does not command any unit.

He cannot give official commands or orders.

He went way outside his job description.

He needs to go cook rice in China for that.

I like sufficient military experience to be a general (and have no aspirations) but
I (or almost anybody sleeping in the alley in back of the bus station) would be a thousand times better in the job
than a traitor

Right on!

Here’s the deal.
We elect our top military Commander.
Commanders command military units.
Company Commander, Battalion Commander Corps Commander.
The President is Commander-In-Chief.
<

So now the un-elected military is in charge. How could that happen?

1: Nominate a pliable (to the point of dementia) person for President.

2: Utilize massive propaganda and censorship of opposing views to influence public opinion.

3: Enlist full support of powerful public communication monopolies (Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc.) to control access to opposition for the majority of the voting public.

4: Control (manipulate???) actual vote counting and certification of election results, to ensure desired election results.

So now here we are. Fortunately some patriots are still active, and investigating the results of step 4: above.

The Arizona audit results are set to be released to the public next Friday, September 24th at 1:00.

Be sure to get your popcorn ready!

"won’t comment on the so called Military Industrial Complex, except to say what we have now isn’t that".

Your "non-comment" is pretty clear indication that you don't understand (or maybe even haven't read) Eisenhower's farewell speech.

yeah i read the speech. like i said. has nothing much to do our problems today. imo, the military was corrupted in part by our failure in vietnam (not of the military) and hollowed out at the officer core level during the bush/obama adminstrations during the idiocy of Iraq/Afganistan.

i wonder if you know that Ike created the corrupt CIA, with the best of intentions.

but tim weiner quotes Eisenhower as wondering himself why he did it (money quote):

“It probably takes a strange kind of genius to run it.”

cheers buddy. maybe you don’t know as much as you think.

Are we arguing about Eisenhower, or are we discussing the actually tyranny we are experiencing in our "Democratic Republic" today"

The subject of this thread is "the Myth of American ‘Democracy’"

Eisenhower is history, and a wise prophet in his day.

I referenced the Eisenhower speech as prophetic of the political morass we are in today, including the incredible performance of the DEEP STATE Military Industrial Complex (which is actually very real and extremely powerful).

I am here to discuss the absolutely critical issues of today, and am not interested in further discussion of Eisenhower. Your criticism of Eisenhower and what I think I know are completely irrelevant to this discussion.

well. i thought i was doing both. we at least agree we’re not a republic anymore (we were never a democracy in the greek sense).

my point was that the roots of that go back to Ike and before in the civilian gov’t.

in the military industrial complex, i think that went south after vietnam; brief respite with the great RR and then back to crap with the bushes and clintons. obama finished it off.

anyway repeating myself. your thread enjoy. i’ll move on.

You say "we at least agree we’re not a republic anymore"

Absolute nonsense!

The entire point of my post is that our constitutional republic is under heavy attack by a massive military industrial complex, as predicted in 1961 by President Dwight Eisenhower.

Do you even know what the Constitution of the Republic of the United States of America says about anything?
