The Mexican cartel may have kidnapped her. She could have been out for a walk when she was kidnapped. Dude woke up and she was gone and since they were having relationship problems anyway he may have just figured she took off with someone else and so he went home.

Or
She may have be taken by aliens and he just figures no-one would believe him if he told them about it.

Or
He may have killed her and buried the body somewhere out there. It may never be found.

One of the articles that I read said a witness told them that Laundrie grabbed her by her face and shoved her away so she hit him with the hand holding her phone. The cops seemed to label her the aggressor. It seems they missed a lot until she went missing.

blueplum posted some notes on the traffic stop that were interesting. The recording of the stop is over an hour long.

Are there any actual new facts released?

If not then this is a good example of yellow journalism

And some fr people would apparently be glad to rush to judgement on their way to the lynching, reasonable doubt notwithstanding.

Some lawyer said something! Therefore, Guilty!

“Some lawyer said something! Therefore, Guilty!”

His lawyer said something. He won’t say anything!

He and his parents would not respond to her parents texts and calls.

Very Strange!

” The cops seemed to label her the aggressor. It seems they missed a lot until she went missing.”

‘seemed’? The witness, Gabby and Brian all agreed she was the aggressor.

Kinda hard for dead people to report thefts. Just saying.

I don't disagree with you. However, fact remains, it wasn't reported stolen, therefore, no crime committed. His possession of the vehicle sure as heck makes the whole thing even more suspicious, but until cops have reasonable cause, they can't do anything. That's how the law works in America. Sure, you and I both know the dude did something to her, but in America, he is innocent until proven guilty.

Her father:

“This type of behavior is cruel,” he said. “It’s heartless. If you did nothing wrong, and you genuinely did nothing wrong, I’m not saying you did — I have no idea. I can’t even ask you what you know. I can only take this attitude as cruel and heartless.”

Um, no. The witness said they were arguing, that he shoved her, that he locked her out of the vehicle and put her backpack on the back of the van. He admitted to grabbing her by her face and locking her out of HER van. She weighs 110lbs. I'm sure the coward was afraid for his life.

Sure but the cops have no other suspects to offload pressure from them, and a da would have unlimited prosecution resources.

The court of public opinion has already tried and convict Ed the bf with the help of several inflammatory and imho misleading headlines, with the sole intent of selling newspapers and generating Mv ad clicks, not protecting rights of any accused.

Let’s play the game then. Girls family refuses to admit that they lost their daughter to poor lifestyle choices over ther formative years when they had a chance to set an example and make a difference.

Girl goes wild, then goes missing. Quelle surprise.

No proof girl is actually deceased.

Ian tone can write a slanted headline. The only headlines that make money are those that feed the bloodthirsty public who want a lynch style retribution more than actual honest to goodness justice.

Jmho, ymmv

Ok, and now back to the ever so popular lynch mobster channel......

Bf is getting legal advice from a defense lawyer.

The bf. defense lawyer is regulated by the state bar association.

Maybe the petition family argument should be that the state bar is amuck somehow or that the laws governing rights of the accused are over road and should be rewritten.

We have no right to cast stones unless we have walked in the bfs shoes. Forgive mixed metaphor.

No the petito family argument puts the bf at risk of being steamrolled by overzealous and lazy police and da. Saying it can’t happen is not any guarantee that it won’t happen.

Most state criminal law and motor vehicle insurance case law recognize the concept of permissive use. One does not have to be a registered owner, or an insured driver to borrow/loan a car from or to a friend or relative to whom an owner/insured extends permission.

Moreover, many states have an intermediate charge along the lines of "unauthorized use," in which it can be shown there was no intent to permanently deprive the rightful owner of the vehicle from possession. For example, mom and dad go to dinner and tell the teenage son, "Do NOT under any circumstances take the Porsche out of the garage." Of course, the kid takes it out and wrecks it and dad wants the kid charged with theft. The reason most jurisdictions won't charge theft is that there was no intent to permanently deprive the owner of the vehicle.

In this case it's obviously a bit different in that assuming she was the registered owner of the vehicle, there is at present, no way to determine if she denied him permission, and in fact the bodycam video and their vlog both suggest they were co-driving on their venture strongly suggesting they he did have permissive use of the vehicle...

Geezus man, get it right!

In >> chronological order << :

8/12: Cops pull them over (Moab)

8/12: Gabby checks into Moab hotel. Brian sleeps in van -or goes camping if sleeping in vehicles isn’t allowed there.

8/13: Kylen Schulte, 24, and Crystal Turner, 38 last seen (Moab)

8/16: Kylen Schulte, 24, and Crystal Turner, 38 found shot-to-death at their campsite.

8/17: Dude flies back to Florida

8/23: Dude flies back to Utah

8/24: Check out of hotel

8/25: Last time Gabby confirmed alive

IMO - He killed Gabby cuz he knew she’d eventually be questioned by police about the double homicide of the LGBQTAH couple.

“He’s frequently violent”

“Why yes, he does have a .357, it’s in our van.”

He couldn’t trust her so he had to disappear her.

The Italian police determined that gabby was the agressor in a dangerous situation and the bf was the victim.

Let’s say they kissed and made up. Then they went hiking. The girl goes wild again and tries to push bf off a cliff. Instead she loses her balance and falls off cliff herself.

or maybe she went hiking alone to walk off a tiff and fell by herself.

In this hypothetical scenario, the guy is totallly innocent. Ideally he does not have to say anything but he tells his story anyway against legal advice. But What are the guys chances of receiving a fair trial? Just look at the number of fr lynch mobsters here. That is your answer.

All the lynch mobsters here should put themselves in the position of an innocent person unjustly accused by a corrupt da machine and lazy police before making any judgments.

Does the name Kyle rite house ring any bells?
