@KurtSchlichter

Bush gave a speech on 9/11 today and all I heard was that guys like me - who went to war under him AND his father - were a terrorist threat to our country.

He's trash and I'm done with him and his whole cabal.

So many in TX though still think the Bushes are great successes. I hope GPB doesn’t beat Atty. Gen. Paxton in 2022 primary.

At this point I’m not sure Gore would have been worse. He would have made a mess of things, but the left would own that mess instead of us.

He's too late.

Bush should have been kicked to the curb by conservatives when he launched a war in Iraq which was against both international law and common sense.

Bush should have been kicked to the curb by conservatives when he launched a war in Iraq which was against both international law and common sense.

It was a rare conservative who felt that way in 2002-03, the period leading up to the war. Most conservative outlets advocated for war. Many liberals were urging for war.

A rare exception was The American Conservative, which was founded by Pat Buchanan specifically to create a conservative voice in opposition to the Iraq War.

I voted for Bush in 2000, though I preferred either Harry Browne or Pat Buchanan. But I participated in that international march against the war in February 2003.

Rush, and most other conservative voices, were calling the marchers leftists and traitors. And I suppose many were. But there were paleocons, libertarians, and patriots among the marchers.

Back then, conservatism was dominated by Neocons. It was a 24 year struggle from Pat Buchanan's 1992 "America First" campaign to Trump's 2016 "America First" victory.

24 years to change the GOP's vision from Bush's "New World Order" to Buchanan's "America First."

Hats off to you for this, Angelino.

I was getting into arguments with "conservatives" before the war even started; they thought I was out of my mind.

That was George HW Bush, his father. George W. Bush43 did not raise our taxes.

Actually Col Schlichter was against Donald Trump in his first OP-Ed but saw the light about Donald Trump in his second op-ed and started to post positive op-eds about Donald Trump. Go ahead and do a search. You will find that I am correct.

BTW I was not a Trump supporter in the beginning. I had my doubts about him because there were things he said that were not appropriate and I never vote for the eventual nominee in our TN primary which is always held with several other states on the first or second March. Later on he changed his attitude and I said to myself if he gets nominated that I will vote for him.
He did get nominated and I voted for him. I also voted for him on November 3, 2020.
