@KurtSchlichter
Bush gave a speech on 9/11 today and all I heard was that guys like me - who went to war under him AND his father - were a terrorist threat to our country.
He's trash and I'm done with him and his whole cabal.

Family of assassins...
I was done with GW after he signed the “Patriot Act” into law. Unless he’s talking about the terrorists in the federal government he can KMA. Bush is asshole.
ClownHall writers have been anti-Trump and extreme left wing liberal. Piss on them!
All of us who understand our God given rights are self-evident, are coming under attack.
Pinkos, fascists, socialists, communists, tyrants, dictators, all those who believe they know best; are openly declaring war on us.
George H Bush was corrupt and poster boy of our corrupt Intel community, hated that guy and suspect Reagan did as well as the GOP forced Bush on Reagan...George W Bush was an idiot and surprised he could find his way to the Oval Office every day..I held my nose and voted for him..Now wish I have withheld my votes.
Not true. After 9/11, GWB because a hero for many conservatives.
I remember reading comments on FR back in the early to mid 2000s, as well as on other conservative forums. GWB was calling for nation building and the Patriot Act, and all sorts of increases in state power "to protect our freedoms."
There was some libertarian push back, but the majority of self-identified conservative gave GWB a blank check.
I'll never forget a comment on saw on FR over 15 years ago, when libertarians were complaining about the Patriot Act.

Does nobody remember the near worshipful adulation of GWB post-9/11? Not only on FR, but throughout the conservative sphere? Among pundits, on Fox TV, in the conservative opinion journals, websites, and blogs?
Makes you wonder..what does the deep state have on Bush? May the truth come out whatever it may be..Maybe also, he is just a scumbag
I supported him too back then, but I never liked him. They’re just not likable people. The support he received was all about “us vs them”. It was never genuine affection for the man. And 41 was even more unlikeable.
I bought his Texas shtick and toasted him with a beer at a Lone Star Steakhouse the evening the 2000 election was finally decided. He has been a huge disappointment, to say the very least. It wasn’t his lack of competence so much as the ease with which he betrayed us.
Bush pulled the country together after 9/11... and the alternative choice at the time wasn’t Trump it was Al Gore.
Gore would have been worse.
Which doesn’t give Bush a pass to trash millions of Trump supporters on a day like today. Shame on Bush...
Not only was Bush instigating his Never Trump antics of 2016, but Bush, by involving the US in two, non-ending foreign simultaneous wars, and neglecting the economy, and the wars impact on the economy, gave us a near economic collapse which paved the way for Obama-Biden. The deaths of the majority of soldiers who were killed and maimed in the occupation and nation building futility, is on Bush. At least Daddy Bush had Colin Powell, who was smart enough to advise Bush not to break it our you own it (Iraq), and get the hell out after 100 hours.
Bush has a lot of nerve going after Trump, who was a successful President, just because he demolished !Jeb. Has Bush no introspection? Does he not realize what he has done?
I am so ashamed I supported George W. Bush. I wish I had never supported the smirking chimp.
Everything you say is correct. I too voted for the Bushes 4 times, all general elections but never in a primary. In retrospect, I understand why I supported them over Dukakis, Clinton, Gore & Kerry. With those Dems running on a platform of abortion and race hustling and higher taxes, I get why we voted the way with did. Nonetheless, it’d be dishonest to pretend that the Bushes didn’t play a huge role in destroying this country. From terrible deals with the ChiComs to squandering blood and treasure in Iraq, the Bushes were a disaster.
Kirt, if you are this slow to catch on you are not worth reading.
The Bushes are evil.
Add Pence to the list…
Well said. I gave them both the benefit of doubt, they were both pilots, both served, and both disappointed. That disappointment has not aged well... I now despise them both.
In 2005-2006, Free Republic led the political cavalry charge, across open ground, that crushed the Bush-McCain Amnesty and the Harriet Miers Supreme Court nomination.
In my opinion, it was FR's finest hour.
And he’s been sh**ing on you ever since..
Great to see Activism alive and well though and just what can be accomplished
