CRUISE NEWS - CRUISE LINE PRICE WARS With the changes in cruising with masks and testing, many people are cancelling cruises until later next year. This seems to have caused the cruise lines to cut some prices to get more people on the ships. Are we in a cruise line Price War?
Check with you local travel agent, or the cruise line.-Tom
Maybe the Cruise Lines will start paying people to come aboard and die. Not real consistent with the concept of repeat customers.
All they have to do is quit their unAmerican unConstitutional rules the CDC laughingly calls ‘protocols’ to make them sound official and not illegal and let everyone cruise...
Now, with new Variant Pricing for the Vaxxed!
I was in San Diego last weekend.
They were prepping Disney Wonder and a Royal Caribbean ship for October.
This on top of everyone having to be fully vaccinated (including the crew). This includes on the Ships Tenders, the Cruise Terminal and gangplanks, Ships Theater and Casino, but not in your rooms unless you are being visited by a member of the crew (Steward, Maid, room service deliverer, etc.)
Ours cruise was scheduled for 15 days.
Our Security deposit is saved for another cruise and they said we would have to book it by April 2022 and Sail by Sept. 2022.
I'm predicting this stupid mask policy will go throughout 2022 and that I lose my deposit. Argh!
True enough.
Ps I will be back at 4 PM eastern. -Tom
All the islands require masks everywhere inside and out...on board the ships its usually just inside and in the terminals...
Maybe biden will give a cruise for the vaccinated.
Did you get to go on your cruise?
MSC is minimizing what happened to the public, and doesn't look like it was taking things seriously.

We did the same. Was supposed to be a Christmas cruise with the whole family. Just didn’t make sense with the testing and masking.
Who in their right minds would want to get on a ship loaded with a bunch of vaxxed spike protein shedders that incubate highly dangerous variants.?
What country would let a ship full of shedders infect the native marine species in their waters? Ecology groups are going to find Mr. Fauxi's bioweapon in their wildlife, including marine wildlife.
Do not book Royal Caribbean! Had a December cruise booked with them, no vaccine mandate. They changed the game two months after the booking and now require then vaccine. We tried to cancel immediately due to a significant change in scope. They would not refund our deposits, 8 people. Filed a dispute with our credit card company and all the deposits were returned. By the way, we paid $1250/pp, same trip is now $850 and it speaks volumes of the public opinion.
At $850 a person no telling what the cruise will charge for drinks in order to make up the difference.
What cruise line were you booked on so I can avoid if I take a cruise.
That’s an excellent question. I quit going to my quilting group because everyone else got one of the inoculations. I didn’t want to be contaminated by shedders.
I would check with the Cruise Line about their mask policy before booking on any line.
Yes Aug 14 7 day on the new ship Mardi gras...holds 6500 passengers there were 2,800 of us...
I had to apply for an exemption for the unvaccinated ...religious...got that...
Pay for trip insurance...usually optional...
pay $150 for rapid tests prior and the day before getting back...took less than 10 minutes for results...
provide the proof of a negative PCR/NAAT test done less that 72 hours before cruise terminal check in ...did that at CVS got results back less than 24 hours...lucky...
Couldnt get off the ship in San Juan...no unvaccinated allowed...
Couldnt get off in other ports unless I took a ‘bubble’ tour to the beach only... with masks...treated like prisoners...(I stayed on the ship)...
But I went on he cruise and it was nice...
Now theres no exemption for ‘sincerely held religious views/beliefs’ only for children under 12 and medical with a doctor’s letter...got to follow the laws dontcha know...
