Amen. I agree 100% with the clarification. I know Paul tells us at the same time there will be a great falling away.

I pray we witness and are part of a last days revival. I pray you are correct. Time is short. And in these last days government is working against the revival and those seeking to assist in spreading this message. They are falling into lockstep with the one world order government and religion.

Right, but don’t get confused about the “before and after” the rapture.

Right now we see signs (”the times and the seasons”) (1 Thess. 5:1) of his imminent return for us.

But AFTER we (and the Holy Spirit) are gone, there will be a GREAT falling away, the man of sim will be reveled, and before too long the whole earth will be dead.

Satan thinks his time is now to amass the World Totalitarian government, but his time is not yet and those frightening and horrific things you read about in Revelation Chapter 6-19 will not happen until after we’re gone to Heaven with Jesus.

Thanks for the ping - gonna ping the list for speed - I'm overburdened these days - have had several months of mandatory and voluntary overtime - plus a long drive in and back - I'm usually in the car or making stops and it's basically an hour each way that I count on for work. Plus my overtime hours and lunch. ALL that to say, sorry for those doubled-pinged. I've worked as much as 18 days in a row and many 13 days in a row. I'm gonna go do some voluntary overtime tonight, Lord willing. Plus 2 cars down - went to Walmart to get a flat fixed - called for a manager because I hoped for a discount on a tire since they weren't going to be able to use my road hazard because sidewall was cracking on tires with just over half the tread used. All he did was make it worse. It's about the only time I called WalMart to complain. Of course they've done nothing so far. Good news is one car now has the flat fixed because I bought 2 new (cheap) tires. There went $120 or so. Heh.

So, for the thread, this ping and a post. I can only post from my phone most of the time and very little these days. The good news is that I have a better job, my Social Security is coming up, and Lord willing, I'll have a bit more time in a couple of months. So I'm often doing post and run these days. Gonna ping the full list so I make sure I got everybody. Again, sorry for any doubles from another ping. I need to shower and head out the door to get about 4 things done before I work a bit tonight. The good news is I can basically show up any time I want, work as little or as long as I want. Just have to do it inside a 10-hour window.

Thanks for the list SF. My guess is, the social security is less of a surety than the Rapture. Slow down, breath God’s fresh air, and listen for that Trumpet.

I’ve heard talk that there is another “Left Behind” movie or series coming out. I subscribe to Pureflix and while I enjoy it, I wish there were more prophecy movies.

This year has been especially rough - Biblical in fact (no details)

Thank God I have a better job - every work day is at least 12-13 hours involved which isn’t impossible but trying to get sleep 💤💤💤💤😴😴😴 almost is - juggling rental car and trying to get first car to shop - I work nights

Fortunately I just took care of 4 or 5 things with Amazon but it took 45 minutes or more - posted while waiting for help.

All while learning a new job - after multiple weeks training - about 2 months I’ve got it down - but have to cut back on hours for SS in about a month - would prefer my former IT work but this is easy better than the last job.

When you read stuff like that, that’s virtually incomprehensible to most people, it gives one a as far as I see, non-Biblical reason to recognize that the end of the human race is nearing.

Our knowledge and technology to delve into these kinds of things, genetics, etc, has far outstripped our ability to use it wisely. We don’t have the moral character as humans to not be corrupted into using this vast, dangerous knowledge safely and wisely.

The human race could not survive much longer when this stuff finally gets into the wrong hands and/or backfires, which it most certainly will.

Mankind in his arrogance and pride, thinks he has so much knowledge but I think the first thing I really learned in college, is how little we do know. Everything I learned raised more questions that couldn’t be answered, than could and the more I learned the more I realized we don’t know.

NOBODY has any idea what all this genetic experimentation is going to result in or where it’s going to lead. They are playing with fire in a big way that I think, without Divine Intervention, will destroy mankind.

Matter of fact, some of the creatures described in Revelation I could very well see being the result of genetic engineering gone wrong. Or right with deliberate malice.

So, let me toss this into the mix of conjectures as to what St. John saw:

Former Muslim Walid Shoebat was looking at Revelation 13:18 in Greek, and noticed, because of his Arab (and formerly Muslim) background, that the Greek letters used to specify the number 666 (chi xi sigma), χξς — if each were rotated but left in order — closely resemble the Arabic symbols used for the “Bism Allah” — the phrase “In the name of Allah” — followed by the symbol of two crossed swords.

This is striking, because “In the name of Allah, most gracious, most merciful,” is the most commonly used phrase throughout all of Islam, and the crossed swords are used universally used to signify Islam, and found on virtually every letterhead within the Islamic world, as well as in the emblems or logos of most Islamic groups.

The specific conjecture is St. John DREW the symbols he saw, the crossed swords and Bism Allah, but when later scribes saw these unfamiliar symbols, they thought they were intended to be Greek letters, since that’s what they most appeared to them to be, and transcribed them as such.

Hence, the modern-day mystery, and all the conjecture.

NOT SAYING this is “The Answer” but... it’s about as good as any other I’ve heard, and FAR better than some.

Church leadership used that thing two or three times when I was growing up to freak the bejeebers outta the congregants.

What ALWAYS stuck in my croup, was when some preacher would cite I Thess. 5:2 in ISOLATION.

For you know quite well that the day of the Lord will come in the same way as a thief in the night.

That little bit of textual legerdemain NEVER really seemed very Christlike. All the MORE so if you actually DO read on and get to verse 4:

But you, brothers and sisters, are not in the darkness for the day to overtake you like a thief would.

OH! WHEW! What a RELIEF! I'm among the "brothers and sisters" so I'm not in darkness of night where this thing's gonna get me unawares, but out in the light of day where I can see it coming.

And THAT'S what then ties in all of the New Testament admonishments to "watch and pray"; if you'd not be able see it coming, it'd be a pretty monumentally blunder for Jesus, of all people, to TELL you to "keep watch" for it.

Hence, this sort of discussion we're having, now. This is part of our watching, and I hope it induces more of our praying.

[Another Rapture movie, but the best one, with very good script and acting (Gary Bayer=, Jerry Houser). I’ve read commentaries which suggest the reasoning you’ve posted. There are interesting and the visual of the Arabic and Greek certainly parallel. While I don’t dismiss the suggestion, I find the words “wisdom to count” intriguing.
