Saw on another thread...the Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison is not responsible for the current lockdown. It’s the leaders (called Premier) of a couple of the states (Victoria and New South Wales) that are doing it...

The Federal government can’t stop them doing that - but people overseas seem to think they should be able to, and so wind up blaming the PM and his conservative government for things they really have no control over.”
