Cool site with video news clips in slow and simple Finnish. Closed captioning too. Something like VOA's Special English TV.
To BRL and other Freepers learning Finnish.
Study hard. Master these languages and make friends. Communists are global, so the right needs to be linked up as well to trade notes and concentrate efforts against the globalist conspiracy.
Meanwhile, never stop delving deeper into English. In this degenerate era of lame education & literature, we all have gaps in our English, no matter how much we may believe otherwise. And opposehigh rising terminal (HRT) (uptalk), infantile "verbing", and other attacks on our language.
Anyways, check out the link. Please do not share with leftists.

If I wanted to learn Klingon I would watch Star Trek.
Is there a site like this for English? I need it.
This is indicative of a big problem in European countries, that refugees don’t want to learn the native language, especially if they already speak English.
Not much incentive there.
Thanks for the link. I knew this existed but I had not found it. Are you studying Finnish? Is so we can compare notes :-)
I’d like to learn Finnish...we have @ 20 diaries from early 1900s from hubs gr grandfather ... is it difficult?
What method are you using to learn Finnish?
My newest project. Indeed. Perhaps one of us can start a ping list to chronicle their struggle against EU and socialism lolz
Duolingo has Finnish.
Next they'll order everybody to change their underwear every half-hour.
I am all in at the moment.
I used duolingo to get started, but I have signed up for zoom language courses, I hire a tutor for about 4 hours per week. I ask her questions and have had her make me recordings. I listen to a lot of simple you tube videos (childrens stuff) and then pipe the audio into google translate so I get real time translations as I listen. Lots and lots of listening.
I have some readers with english translations. I read those to my tutor and she helps me understand the deeper grammar structures and meanings as I read them.
I have some grammar books which I read a bit hre and a bit there. I bought a Finnish/English Bible but that is too deep for me but I do read some of it.
I do not do much talking yet because I am more interested in “understanding” the language as opposed to “speaking” the language. I do practice speaking and repeating things I hear, but understanding comes first for me.
Sounds like me with Polish.
I got started by listening to a lot of Polish music, and trying to understand the lyrics.
I notice courses generally focus too much on conversation topics, rather than a logical progression of building blocks in terms of grammar and vocabulary.
That’s a profound blessing, to be inspired to learn a great language like that.
Thank you...maybe it’ll be a good thing for my senior brain...I don’t want to learn Spanish...had 2 years of French, 1 year of Latin in HS (Long ago...don’t remember much). ..
It’s at the point now where most of the music I listen to is Polish, mostly stuff from the 90s.
