More than a dozen former NFL players, including former star running back Clinton Portis, have pleaded guilty to federal charges linked to a multimillion-dollar nationwide scheme to defraud a health care benefit program.
The most recent guilty pleas came within the last three weeks from Robert McCune, 40, of Georgia, Tamarick Vanover, 47, of Florida and Portis, 40, of South Carolina...
...Mr. McCune admitted he received nearly $2.5 million for orchestrating the scheme.....

Wouldn’t that make them felons?
This should be big national news. But of course it’s not.
This is NFL pooled money is it not?....a pittance compared to medicare/medicaid fraud let alone the theft and blatant corruption pilfering our FED and state governments...But theft is theft and if you or I were to steal a package of bologna from wally world we would get incarcerated!
But but but were they vaccinated and wear their masks while they committed their crimes?
Asking for a friend.
Well, it woulda been so much worse if they were all unvaxxed.
Portis is hardly the only big name on the list . . .
Now wait just a Ku Klux Klan minute here! This be some SERIOUS Systemic Racism going on. Not ONE Cracker, er uh “Person of Pallor” arrested? To quote Redd Fox: “They’s enough N... here to shoot a Tarzan Movie!” They all must be well disguised, high melanin content White Supremacists. Always tryin’ hold a Brotha DOWN!
The plan, which was established in 2006 as part of a collective bargaining agreement, allowed former players, their spouses and dependents to receive up to $350,000 per player for out-of-pocket medical expenses not covered by insurance.

Donald “Reche” Caldwell, who died in June 2020
Ex-National Football League player Donald Reche Caldwell was shot dead recently in his hometown Tampa in Florida. Sadly, the player was shot and killed at the time when he was getting ready for a concert. Reche’s mother confirmed the news. Age: 41
Is this part of what that guy with a ‘bomb’ in his pickup truck carrying on about?
I didn’t even know Reche Caldwell was dead (killed during an attempted robbery). He was a great player for Florida.
Tamarick Vanover is probably the biggest name on the list.
Was going to be playing Rachmaninov, or Tchaikovsky?
Regards,

You’d be surprised at how many and how strange folks who played for the Chargers have passed away. Especially the 1995/1996 Super Bowl team.
Now, Reche wasn’t on that team, but still, there’s a LOT of weirdness there.
thank you so much for putting pix to names. That was a lot of work and is appreciated :)
were they vaccinated and wear their masks while they committed their crimes?
yes yes they were, but... they failed to social distance
So they took a knee
Then filed a claim for a knee injury..
