The 2024 election is still 1,155 days away -- I counted -- but, according to one senior aide to Donald Trump, the former president is all-but-certain to run again.
"I would say somewhere between 99 and 100 percent," Jason Miller told Cheddar earlier this month when asked about the chances that Trump runs again. "I think he is definitely running in 2024."
Which sounds, well, sort of definitive -- ahem -- right?
Then there's this from Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan during a stop in Iowa -- eyes emoji! -- last week. "I think he's gonna run," Jordan said of Trump. "I want him to run. He's proven he can take the heat.
Now, Trump himself hasn't been as conclusive but he has made very clear he is leaning toward getting into the 2024 race. As Politico wrote in May:
"Trump is confiding in allies that he intends to run again in 2024 with one contingency: that he still has a good bill of health, according to two sources close to the former president. That means Trump is going to hang over the Republican Party despite its attempts to rebrand during his exile and its blockade of a Trump-centric investigation into January's insurrection."
Earlier that same month, Trump was barely coy about his future plans in an interview with conservative pundit Candace Owens. "As you know, it's very early," Trump told Owens. "But I think people are going to be very, very happy when I make a certain announcement."

I’d be fine with that answer, want it on the table. Focus of 2nd Trump admin (please Heaven) should be destroying the deep state, forget the stock market and tax cuts.

President Trump will be fitter, stronger, smarter at 80 than Biden was at 60.
He’s not running.
Unless we change voting laws to require Voter ID and make doubly damned sure that the votes can’t be tampered with, there is no way Trump will be allowed to win.
I am not sure about the Founder’s Republic being totally dead, but I’ll bet it’s darned close.
And as far as being more concerned about having enough food to eat...your guess is as good as mine on that one.
As it is, unless there IS a=n uprising, and damned soon, I’m more worried about the US becoming what Australia is now...except the detention camps will become execution centers for conservatives and Christians.

If Trump/Trump’s aids say he’s not likely to run Trump loses clout which he can use to shape the party, like who cares what Bush thinks anymore. Not that he might not run but that’s a ways off. Staying relevant is important now.
What planet have you been living on? Red states and swing states which are almost all controlled by Republican state legislators, have been passing such laws since Dementia Joe siezed power. There are plenty of posts right here on FR about it going back months.

No normal working conservative Republican has worried about food for as long as I can remember. Heck even the homeless bozos in NYC are very well fed. Too many outfits handing out free food.
If President Trump is the nominee I will support him one hundred per cent. But I would prefer Ron DeSantis.
