Sorry if I repeated. We’re just worn out. 😔

Hugs. Going through the exact thing right now.
Thank You
I hope she has a good doctor. At that age UTIs can be tough to beat.
Bump-prayers my FRiend
I cannot believe the Tik Tok “Health Care Heroes” would do such a thing...
My Momwent through the same thing back in 2015. It was a nightmare. You have my empathy, and my prayers.
(((HUGS)))
Ask mom if she wants to stay alone, isolated from family and loved ones, at her age or just stay home? My friend’s wife use to work at a long term care facility and she had to quit for her mental health. They were treating the elderly worse than prison inmates. They made them stay in their room 24-7. What really got to her was when they started making the customers stand at the other side of the room, open the door, and shove in a tray of food.
If the patient can talk, medical people tend to disregard a medical POA, insisting on the patient being able to make their own decision.
an avenue of less resistance is make friends with the hospital’s patient advocate. Notify him/her when you take mom into the ER, and communicate directly with her.
UTI’s generally resolve themselves if it’s minor. Cranberry juice and lots of it. Back to ER if fever. much easier than dealing with diarrhea from antibiotic use.
“By some estimates, 25–42 percent of uncomplicated UTI infections clear on their own.”

// Sis found out, today, that the ADA trumps covid protocols when being an advocate. We are her primary caregivers. //
Thank you for posting that info. This has been a major concern, as we’ve seen next of kin unable to remain with and advocate for their loved ones in their time of need. No telling what is done, or not done, or how patient is being tended, or not.
Blessings to you & your sister with your mom.
reason to hope.
5 Sept: Yahoo: UK Sun: Woman, 116, recovers from COVID in Turkey
A 116-year-old woman in Turkey has survived COVID-19, according to her son, making her one of the oldest patients to beat the disease.
Ayse Karatay has now been moved to a normal ward, her son Ibrahim told the Demiroren news agency on Saturday.
“My mother fell ill at the age of 116 and stayed in the intensive care unit for three weeks... Her health is very good now and she’s getting better,” he said.
French nun Sister Andre recovered from COVID-19 in February, days before her 117th birthday. She is the world’s second-oldest living person...
Ibrahim said she had only received one shot of the Chinese Sinovac vaccine before she became sick, adding that she was probably infected by a family member...

Thank you for posting this. Prayers up for your mom and all who love and care for her.
You have my heartfelt sympathies. My mother died May 25th at age 98. The last month of her life was a misery. I had to have her transported to the ER and could not go in to be with her. She was used to my sister and I staying with her during hospital sojourns. When they admitted her then one of us was allowed to visit for 4 hours a day.
After a few days she was sent to acute care nursing near our house and 14 days of quarantine where we could not go in to see her. She was very ill and afraid even though she was getting very good care. Then we were told we could visit once per week for 30 minutes. I was afraid she would die before we even got into see her. But since it was obvious she was in terrible shape I was allowed in for 1 hour per day. My mom lasted about three weeks there it was just a terrible thing all the way around. Frankly if somebody dropped a bomb on the CDC and Congress I wouldn’t shed a tear.
Did they lave legal medical power of attorney or just the relationship with the patient?
Thx for that.
I have an 86 year old mother who is bedridden and has dementia.
Thankfully, we can still see her.
💓Blessings to you, your sister, and your mom!!💓
