Jaleel is going to kill somebody. Count on it.
There have been other cases.
When the police act like criminals, they may be treated as criminals.
“Surprised the court let the defense make the argument.
Prosecutor must have been asleep at the switch.
Gotta know when to object”
I’m sure that he did exactly what he was told to do by his superiors. Nothing.
Imagine that. An innocent man walks free. Whatever is this country coming to?
No officers were shot. They were the ones who shot first, piling out of an unmarked white van shooing rubber bullets. He fires back and once he became aware they were police he dropped his gun and lay down on the ground. The police actions were confirmed through their own body cams, through false reports that they filed on the incident, and eye witnesses.
I will support police completely when they are in the right. But not when they are in the wrong, and they were in the wrong on this one.
Balance of nature. /too many commercials.
I can imagine self defense against outlaw cops to be upheld in court. If some idiot with a badge opens fire on you or yours for no good reason are you just going to die at the altar of the thin blue tyranny or are you going to fight back like an American?
Kind of depends on the circumstances. Currently 99% of the time I’d say that defense was beyond insane. However, when they come to arrest you and put you in indefinite detention because they found a video of you wearing a MAGA hat 8 months ago I’d say there would be some leeway for considering it to be self defense.
If thats what happened, the jury made the correct decision.
Seems like justice was served here.
Stallings did the right thing.
Thanks for clearing it up!
It never was possible. The more power the left steals, the more dangerous they get.
Ah! Now that’s a horse paste of a different color.
If those are the facts then the jury made the right decision.
Vice grip Derek
Actually it is becoming a common need for even law abiding citizens...
Yep... They do not have a right of one sided justice without any fault at all.
Yep.

Jury of his peers. Again I am glad I don’t live anywhere near these people.
Agreed. I left another reply to you telling you to disregard my question. I wasn’t thorough in my reading of the excerpt and thought an officer was shot.
They had 40mm launchers for rubber bullets. It was dark.
The defendant had a Minnesota carry permit.
The police, unannounced, fired at him from the inside of the moving van when they first saw him, from 70 feet away, hitting him in the lower chest with a rubber bullet.
He returned fire with 3-4 shots all off the pavement. No officer was hit.
They jumped out of the van yelling "Shots fired! Shots fired". He realized they were police, lay down his weapon, and lay down on the pavement, face down hands above his head.
The police approached, then beat on him for about 30 seconds.
The police lied about the incident in their reports.
But the defense was able to obtain all the body camera footage, showing they lied.
The jury did the right thing by acquitting Stalling.
WHAT White Privilege?????!!!!!
