Oscar De La Hoya announced Friday he contracted coronavirus and was in the hospital receiving treatment, and that he had to pull out of his upcoming fight against Vitor Belfort.
De La Hoya, 48, posted a video of himself on Twitter in a hospital bed. He said he contracted the illness despite being fully vaccinated.
"Wanted you to hear directly from me that despite being fully vaccinated, I have contracted Covid and am not going to be able to fight next weekend. Preparing for this comeback has been everything to me over the last months, & I want to thank everyone for their tremendous support," he tweeted.

THe vaccines don’t prevent you from getting this, nor do they prevent you from spreading it... none of the vaccine manufactures make ANY of those claims... the CDC and the MEDIA and the POLITICIANS have presented those arguments... and they are abject LIES.
The only thing the vaccines do do is lower the odds you will die if you catch it... that’s it.
If you feel sick, get tested, if your test comes back positive, REGARDLESS OF OUR VACCINE STATUS, immediately demand a script for a monoclonal antibody treatment and get it ASAP.

The new CDC position is that those who have received two vaccines are not vaccinated.
In a year those that have not received six shots are not vaccinated
