16.1% were fully vaccinated - 2 shots plus 2 weeks as indicated from the start of vaccine rollout
83.9% were unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated
at best this tells us that the “not fully vaccinated” were also likely not previously ‘naturally’ infected - no preexisting immunity.
It confirms that 2 weeks beyond the second shot is starting to hit the sweet spot for immunity (1.2K vs 1.7K)
it also points to some protection from the first shot - 1,758 over 71 median age vs 30,967 median age 58 unvaccinated

If the statistical morphing CDC is admitting to 23% then it’s more likely 70% or greater. Like what is happening in Israel and Britain.

“Following an initial analysis that revealed the overwhelming number of COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths in the first two weeks of June 2021 were among residents who were not fully vaccinated, DHEC discovered similar results when looking at provisional data from July 16-Aug. 15. Results of this analysis are below.
Among the 21,990 reported cases where we were able to determine vaccine status, 18,810 (85.5%) of cases were considered not fully vaccinated.
Among the 1,088 reported cases who were hospitalized with COVID and where we were able to determine vaccine status, 779 (71.6%) were considered not fully vaccinated.
Among the 384 reported deaths from COVID where vaccine status was able to be determined, 301 (78.4%) were considered not fully vaccinated.
