ABBA have revealed they are releasing their first new songs for 40 YEARS in the form of a studio album and will play a 'greatest hits' hologram tour.
Agnetha Fältskog, 71, Björn Ulvaeus, 76, Benny Andersson, 74, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, 75, are returning with a revolutionary concert and new album, Voyage.
Björn and Benny were seen arriving in London on Thursday ahead of making the 'historic' announcement, before appearing during a live interview.
ABBA will release their new album November 5, after the legendary Swedish pop group last put out an album in 1981 when they released The Visitors.
The hitmakers have teamed up with an 850-strong team from Industrial Light & Magic -founded by George Lucas – to create digital versions of themselves for the concert, using months of motion-capture and performance techniques.

Are they finally going to do this? Might be interesting. Theoretically, a “halodeck” style performance might bring many favorites back to life, if only on stage. Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Felix Pappalardi, Buddy Holly, Sam Cooke, and so many others might return to the stage, if they have enough footage of them to create the effect. I am interested, but that doesn’t mean I’ll pay to see it.
They should move. Heck, can't even buy a Saab anymore.
“Benny - the world’s most unhappy man - made $$Millions with ABBA - was married to the blond singer - had the world by the behind - but according to recent documentary, he was never happy. What a jerk.”
Bjorn was married to the blonde and cheated on that hot babe numerous times.. He is an avowed socialist/atheist
I still love their music.
Reminds me of what Sharyl Attkisson said about the capabilities of the intelligence community. They can produce digital versions of people that cannot be detected as digital versions of people.
Vegas has a Michael Jackson show, or did.
Saw them when they did their one American tour in 79. It was a good show. That year I was a driving instructor for a summer and one of my students gave me tix since they weren’t using them.
I wanted a body just like Marie Fredriksson back in the day. I was sooooo envious of her perfect figure!
This has been known for a long time now, was supposed to come out last year, but Covid happened.
They released two songs today. I can’t say I’m bowled over by them. I’m going to give them another try later on...maybe I missed something on the first listen.
Unfortunately todays talent is so cheap and plentiful the true artists are trying hard to make comebacks. Few will succeed.
ABBA for me was as much about looking at Agnetha as it was listening to the music.
Now that she’s at 71, not so much.
And suddenly, the music sounds hokey, too…
Will Pierce Brosnan and Merly Streep sing backup?
Hahahaha!!!
I wonder if I will survive?
I pulled up to a red light in small town America looked both ways and started to accelerate.
My driving instructor (shop teacher) hit the redundant brake and punched me as hard as he could in my shoulder.
He used to have us take him through McDonald’s drive through.
Great memories. Good guy. Miss him. I’m alive.
Which is why she had to move to Sweden from Norway after the war.
Typical Limosuine Socialist, who fled Sweden for Monaco to avoid paying their taxes.
I liked the Frida song “There’s Something Going On” that she did with Phil Collins.
“I like ABBA, this could be fun!”
Me, too.
If they just stick to to the music they might make a comeback.
