The Republicans not so long ago controlled the Presidency, the Senate and the House. They controlled the budget. Somehow they not only continued to fund PBS and NPR but never lifted a finger to fire all the Marxists who control it.
For you and me but not for them. They think they are indispensable. They aren’t.
Just further sliding down that slippery slope. So glad I built a 6.5 Grendel to replace all those other guns lost in that tragic ice fishing incident in Pennsylvania. And to think that it all happened because of my polikiarkoudaphobia.
They fully believe that. Every liberal I have ever known believes that they will be exempt. They have been so far, so it is logical for them to believe that will always be the case.

Reagan tried to zero NPR and PBS out in the 1980s; they always had lackeys in the Republican Party who blocked it. Trump tried the same thing, again blocked by Paul Ryan. They should not get one dime of our money.

There is a reason why they want to flood the country with foreigners and tear down our statues and insult our history...its to make Americans more likely to accept a lifestyle that no American would ever accept a few decades ago.

Are those guys finally off the air? They were one of the reasons from Republicans why it couldn’t be defunded. That along with “NPR is the only way I can hear classical music”.

Tommy Magliozzi died in 2014 from Alzheimer’s. They had been doing nothing but reruns several years before that.
Even before that I think the show lost its edge because of lawsuit threats by the big 3. They didn’t feel free to criticize specific makes/models although they still kept a few in the credits like: Director of Cadillac Steering.....Toulouse Totrack.

After so few of them called out the rat theft of 2020, I reregistered Independent and haven’t looked back.
History teaches us that censorship is what all oppressive governments do...and it’s happening here.
I was listening to this broadcast at the time and was dumbfounded. Here was a media organization that was pissing and moaning that President Trump was endangering free speech when he called out the media as “fake news”, yet exhibiting complete amnesia in its own headlong rush to embrace complete, soviet style censorship.
