In response to a growing disparity in vaccination rates across the United States, some have called for restricting domestic travel of people who are unvaccinated against COVID-19.
"A no-fly list for unvaccinated adults is an obvious step that the federal government should take," former Obama administration official Juliette Kayyem argued in The Atlantic.
"Under federal law, only the federal government (typically the TSA or FAA) may impose travel restrictions or conditions," SFO said in a statement. "Neither the Airport nor the City would have the authority to require vaccination or other requirements for travel."
The first portion of that statement is not entirely accurate. As senior research fellow at Berkeley Law School's California Constitution Center Brandon Stracener pointed out in an April 2020 blog post, individual state governments also have the power to "impose border controls in the absence of federal action or concurrently with federal action."

I thought the Constitution had language about freedom of travel.
Oh, well. Who cares?
Nazi bitch has a face for radio.
I got vaccinated in March-April, not because I was worried about the virus, but because I manage a volunteer group and a lot of the volunteers wouldn’t come out unless they thought everybody around them was vaccinated.
I have the card, but I refuse to show it and will not go anyplace that asks for it.
We’ve got to resist, folks.
All I know is that I’m damn tired of strangers telling me what I must do — commanded to do — so they can feel better. Nope. No more. I learned how to effectively handle this type of bullying when I was a kid and if I must do it now to stop the bullying, well, I will. Eff ‘em all but six; we’ll need those to serve as pallbearers.
This type of immorality will only get worse going forward
I’ve been twice I think that is enough Hawaii for me.
CA is not an island. We have hundreds of miles of open borders with other states and even Mexico. This idea is dumb.
Here is the whole constitution in it’s entirety. Searchable as well.

I couldn’t find, travel, movement, residence. Have a look get back to us if you find something interesting.
There is the general welfare clause right in article one that the Supreme Court has held a number of times to apply to public health of the people aka citizens.
The tenth amendment should limit the Fed Gov to it’s enumerated powers but the commerce clause again with the Supreme Court’s blessing has been used to trounce all over the tenth.
Of.further note is does this document even matter.when the current admin ignores it all the time anyways. Governments only respond to force , physical force at that so as long as no one is willing to use force the government will do as it pleases.
So, how does this “vaccinated only” rule apply to two friends of ours who got the vax earlier this year and who now have Covid? I assure you, they are not the only ones who are getting sick after getting vaxxed.

The crackdown in California is post-election September 14th.

Fascinating. So, Brandon Stracener supports the idea that Arizona and Texas can impose their own border controls? I have a feeling that’s not what he means.
No one is using the OR clause...Vaxed OR caught covid and recovered — therefore having natural immunity. It’s just the jab. So it isn’t about health.
And yet here we are with a completely open border to absolutely anyone carrying anything. And once they cross it, the government flies them to the four corners of the States.

OK Arizona and Texas, close your southern borders, citing covid, and then see what the reaction from Brandon Stracener is.
Betcha he raises a stink....
I guess we are going to let ourselves be as miserable as Australia.
We no longer have a free country.
Was just going to post the same thing.
If Newsom prevails it will happen...
You are right. Brandon Stracener supports the idea that the States can impose controls between States domestically but not between the States and foreign nations because - "reasons." It is totally clown-world hypocrisy.
