During Joe’s speech today, he claimed President Trump was responsible for the release of 5000+ Taliban prisoners in 2020.
If those prisoners were released under orders from the Trump Administration, I'll bet there was a hierarchy and a process. An orderly process.
As a matter of fact, I'll bet that at any given time, you could have gone to someone in charge and said "Show me what you have for a release plan. Who goes first and presents the least danger, who goes later, and who do we refuse to release under any circumstances? What? You don't have one? Get one made."
That is the way adults would run it. That is the way intelligent people would run it.
You have a process. One that maximizes the security and value of your captives, yet is flexible so that when orders come from up the chain to prepare to release X amount of prisoners for whatever reason, you can implement it reasonably.
What took place at Bagram was not that.
What took place at Bagram was people Di Di Mau'ing in an uncontrolled way under orders from the White House. They did not have a process. They just ran away and left the enemy to free any they wished to free, including some very bad people we should not have allowed to be freed, I'll wager.
So this comparison is political ass-hattery.
Exactly.
The Leftists are trying with all their might, with the coordination and active cooperation of a compliant Media (which is an active arm of the Democrat Party) to change the narrative.
So many people are falling for it and will fall for it, even here.
Even here.
I’d wager good money that you’re right.
I wasn’t there, so...I don’t know. But I feel pretty strongly that there would have been a plan, however sketchy and rudimentary.
But there must have been a plan.
That cannot be said about this Charlie Foxtrot Goat Rodeo called the Biden Bugout.
You’re right. That was a very good, well-reasoned post.
I posted last week they would make that claim as part of their Trump blame game.
Have you seen this short clip of Trump in 2017 explaining why withdrawing too fast would be disaster?

He had a plan.
...and to have that request met by a completely blank stare. I just don't see that, IMO.

Hm. Could be a coincidence.
LOL, it worked when I tried again...just sayin!
Trump was pretty unequivocal there, wasn’t he? Spot on.
“...the consequences of a rapid exit are predictable and unacceptable...”
It’s still there. Give it another shot.
I’ve gotten that on twitter before too and re-trying usually gets it.
President Trump knew what he was doing. He doesn’t slap-dash anything. :)
Right. Hey, he wasn’t perfect, but...compared to this crowd. Unbelievable. I still cannot absorb it.
Alice’s rabbit hole has nothing on the one we’re all tumbling down right now.
I miss those good ole days when things were sane and stable.
You know, the ‘60s and ‘70s!? lol
LOL, I was thinking 2019!
Agree with what you’re saying. That was President Trump’s thing from Day 1.
Hire folks he thought, was led to believe or was told they were smart and could do the job. They couldn’t they were replaced.
Give me your plan for X Y Z. You don’t have one. Why are you here? Next.
He gave them a chance to do their jobs but it had to be to the benefit of the country and he was the deciding factor in that. If they didn’t work to his satisfaction, next.
The Left said he was bad. He was a guy that expected folks to do their job. Private sector style. No more some revolving door, civil servant/lobbyist types staying where they don’t belong, cashing checks.
Yes.
People talked about his inexperience in politics being responsible for the turnover, and I agreed that was a part of it, but I always felt a lot of it was due to him actually having experience in a business environment.
If people aren’t doing what you expect, and you aren’t a politician...you either help them succeed, or, failing that, get rid of them.
That is what successful businesses do. They don’t hang on to losers.
The part of deal that he didn’t negotiate was making the taliban the 16th most armored military force of earth.
Until the past few weeks it hasn't been necessary to blame it all on Trump.
They probably stopped by the supply depot and picked up some shiny new gear. From skivvies to SAWs and M-4s, 50 cals.............. Disgusting! And dangerously deadly eventually.
