Hire folks he thought, was led to believe or was told they were smart and could do the job. They couldn’t they were replaced.

People talked about his inexperience in politics being responsible for the turnover, and I agreed that was a part of it, but I always felt a lot of it was due to him actually having experience in a business environment.
If people aren’t doing what you expect, and you aren’t a politician...you either help them succeed, or, failing that, get rid of them.
That is what successful businesses do. They don’t hang on to losers.
