Can’t be true given the abundance of anecdotal grudge-reports the concerned FReepers post.
Makes sense. The immunity created by vaccines is not the same as the immunity created by getting the disease. But both are imperfect and there will be breakthrough cases and reinfections.

FU guys and your very rare side effect malarky.
I took the Shyngrix shot two weeks on Friday.
Woke up Saturday and it felt like someone had broken my arm where the shot had been injected.
The skin 3” wide and 6” long from my bicep to my tricep looked and felt dead.
Every joint hurt
I had a headache that isn’t like the one I wake with every morning from bruxism
My back as in excruciating pain in the middle and at the belt line.
That put me in bed for 3 days, took a week until I could function the skin turned red and still partly red.
It didn’t feel like some anecdotal event to me.

The virus sent a dear friend on to heaven yesterday. He was 62, in excellent shape but for heart valve replaced. He was on church staff, and the whole staff was infected in a meeting. He and senior pastor died.
They were vaxed.
I for one got Covid and was hospitalized for 2 weeks. How did I get it? I teach college and a Chinese student had just returned from Wuhan and was coughing his head off. I told him to cover his mouth and leave the class. He complained that I humiliated him and the Dean berated me, NOT the student who gave me Covid. Ah, woke academics!!

Some hard numbers, this time from Riverside County in CA:
“Among the 1,061,806 fully vaccinated individuals ages 12 and older in Riverside County, 3,761 (0.35%) have had a COVID-19 case and 23 (0.002%) have died. Among the 830,482 unvaccinated individuals, there have been 109,635 (13.2%) COVID-19 cases and 2,148 (0.3%) deaths.”
Roughly 50:50 split. 2,148 deaths unvaccinated, 23 vaccinated.
South Carolina:
“Following an initial analysis that revealed the overwhelming number of COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths in the first two weeks of June 2021 were among residents who were not fully vaccinated, DHEC discovered similar results when looking at provisional data from July 16-Aug. 15. Results of this analysis are below.
Among the 21,990 reported cases where we were able to determine vaccine status, 18,810 (85.5%) of cases were considered not fully vaccinated.
Among the 1,088 reported cases who were hospitalized with COVID and where we were able to determine vaccine status, 779 (71.6%) were considered not fully vaccinated.
Among the 384 reported deaths from COVID where vaccine status was able to be determined, 301 (78.4%) were considered not fully vaccinated.
