A Butler County judge ruled in favor of a woman last week who sought to force a hospital to administer Ivermectin — an animal dewormer that federal regulators have warned against using in COVID-19 patients — to her husband after several weeks in the ICU with the disease.
Butler County Common Pleas Judge Gregory Howard ordered West Chester Hospital, part of the University of Cincinnati network, to treat Jeffrey Smith, 51, with Ivermectin. The order, filed Aug. 23, compels the hospital to provide Smith with 30mg of Ivermectin daily for three weeks.-snip-
Julie Smith filed the lawsuit on behalf of her husband of 24 years. He tested positive for COVID-19 July 9, was hospitalized and admitted to the ICU July 15, and was sedated and intubated and placed on a ventilator Aug. 1. He later developed a secondary infection he’s still wrestling with as of Aug. 23, court records say. -snip-
Julie Smith found Ivermectin on her own and connected with Dr. Fred Wagshul, an Ohio physician who her lawsuit identifies as “one of the foremost experts on using Ivermectin in treating COVID-19.” He prescribed the drug, and the hospital refused to administer it.
A hospital spokeswoman said she can’t comment on litigation and federal patient privacy laws prevent her from commenting on any specifics of patient care.
Smith is represented by New York attorney Ralph Lorigo, the chairman of New York’s Erie County Conservative Party, who has successfully filed one similar case against a Chicago area hospital and two more in Buffalo. He did not respond to an email or phone call.
The Ohio lawsuit makes reference to the Front Line Covid-19 Critical Care Alliance, a nonprofit of which Wagshul is listed as a founding physician.

As the patient, this may not be good, since she has to now die to prove IVM is ineffective! A medical “park bench”.
And they still refer to it as an animal dewormer, even though it has been given to almost 4 Billion People over 40 years and is FAR SAFER than Tylenol or Aspirin, Still!
I think that the “Right to Try Act” can also be interpreted as “Right not to Try” as well. trusting the human body zone immune system and not interfering with it is a valid form of treatment in and of itself.

Ivermectin must be making a real dent in Big Pharma profits.
Anyone else notice that in the MSM the word Ivermectin is always followed by “an animal dewormer”? Sometimes it might read “A horse dewormer.” or “Used to kill parasites in cows.” but the gist is the same. This is not a medication/treatment used for humans. That right there is horse hockey and tells you this is propaganda, not news.
Not much bias in this gem of journalistic objectivity.

Maybe the judge talked to the judge in Buffalo who did the same thing and saved a woman’s life by allowing the family to get a doctor to administer it.

Will they EVER tell the truth about Ivermectin? It takes less than five minutes of internet research to get to the truth. Why do all the "reporters" spew the same lies about the drug? It is almost as if there is an agenda at work here.

Can’t show a cheap drug can help. That wouldn’t pad Fauci’s wallet. Ivermectin is incredibly safe and has been given to billions of animals and hundreds of millions of people. It has prevented unimaginable suffering. Look at the results form the third world that is handing out these cheap drugs as a preventative and treatment. Fauci is a GD liar.

This article is about the ten millionth time a “journalist” has pushed the idea that substances used to treat the short term physiological EFFECTS of the virus are not legitimate if they can’t be shown to kill or neutralize the virus itself.
When Cuomo was blaming Trump for not sending every ventilator in the US to New York, I don’t recall journalists condemning ventilators’ inability to kill the virus.
