Top ivermectin expert says deworming drug does not treat COVID, that it poses no danger to humans if taken in the correct dose - and that people are getting sick because they're taking high-strength version intended for large animals Dr Timothy Geary is a renowned parasite expert and has studied ivermectin for over a decade He says the drug does not have any effectiveness fighting viruses, and a study showing that it can combat COVID-19 is being misinterpreted Concentrations of the drug used in the study are not safe for human use, and not applicable to the real world The drug has become popular in America, and many are resorting to using versions of the drug made for animals, which can have dangerous side effects

Dr Timothy Geary is one of the world's foremost experts of ivermectin, and has done research on the drug for over a decade.

Geary, who is the Research Chair in Parasite Biotechnology at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, says that the study which spawned much of the ivermectin-craze is not being correctly read.

He told DailyMail.com that the study did show that ivermectin could inhibit the replication of COVID-19 virus cells, which is what many are reading from the study that makes them believe the drug has virus killing properties.

Article was for the Daily Mail. If the good, presumed British doctor, had said anything else he would have lost his license and been jailed.

The compound that served as a basis for invermectin was found i. A soil sample from Japan. But it was a lab in Britain that found it.

“that it poses no danger to humans if taken in the correct dose”

WHAT DO YOU KNOW!!! Some honesty.

As to the rest, I’m reading it.

Just apply and receive a doctor’s degree on the internet, then inject your knowledge to any medical subject.

From the article: “He told DailyMail.com that the study did show that ivermectin could inhibit the replication of COVID-19 virus cells, which is what many are reading from the study that makes them believe the drug has virus killing properties.”

None of the doctors that have successfully used Ivermectin to TREAT COVID-19 say that it attacks the virus - nobody has indicated that although I find it interesting that this statement from the article DOES implicate that it does? What Ivermectin DOES do successfully is fight the inflammation that is caused when our bodies fight the virus. So this treatment is to reduce our reaction to the virus and let the virus run its course without causing the inflammation in our lungs that would cause us to get much worse. There are many, many treatments that doctors prescribe to address the symptoms of illness/disease/exposure.

I remember a couple years ago that I got into some nasty poison oak and had a terrible break-out. The treatment that I was given (steroids) was not to get rid of the poison oak, it was to reduce my REACTION to the poison. This is very much the same as what Ivermectin provides for COVID.

There is also this:

Maybe this idiot from the DailyMail article should find a new line of work...

“people are getting sick because they’re taking high-strength version intended for large animals”

Back to the lies. There is no ‘high strength version’ of Ivermectin. The ‘strength’ of it is how many milligrams on ingests, not how big the jar is (or tube, in this case). After all, are 500 milligram Tylenols any ‘stronger’ in a large bottle than a small bottle?

So it seems to me that our government could, maybe, help people get the dosage right, so if they do take the drug, which is NOT harmful in proper amounts, they don’t get sick.

60-something year old woman...in Buffalo, who was in a coma and waiting to die, who got ivermectin and walked out of the hospital.

Same with the mother of a close friend of mine. While in ICU, was given Ivermectin, and was released the next day.

Concentrations of the drug used in the study are not safe for human use, and not applicable to the real world

Then please give what would be the proper safe dosage for humans!

Belief and hope are the power duo of placebo effect and not to be discounted.

People who want a prescription for it should be given one, it’s cheap and does no harm in the correct form and dosage.

Then we wouldn’t have these math illiterate poisonings.

There is no “the study”, one study, involves. See the IVM meta URL in my prior post.

I guess India is going to stop using it now.

Indeed. It doesn't treat COVID in the USA but it treats COVID in Africa and India. Can't stop that vaccine money train.
