Top ivermectin expert says deworming drug does not treat COVID, that it poses no danger to humans if taken in the correct dose - and that people are getting sick because they're taking high-strength version intended for large animals Dr Timothy Geary is a renowned parasite expert and has studied ivermectin for over a decade He says the drug does not have any effectiveness fighting viruses, and a study showing that it can combat COVID-19 is being misinterpreted Concentrations of the drug used in the study are not safe for human use, and not applicable to the real world The drug has become popular in America, and many are resorting to using versions of the drug made for animals, which can have dangerous side effects
Dr Timothy Geary is one of the world's foremost experts of ivermectin, and has done research on the drug for over a decade.
Geary, who is the Research Chair in Parasite Biotechnology at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, says that the study which spawned much of the ivermectin-craze is not being correctly read.
He told DailyMail.com that the study did show that ivermectin could inhibit the replication of COVID-19 virus cells, which is what many are reading from the study that makes them believe the drug has virus killing properties.

>>The doctor admitted that Ivermectin could inhibit virus cell replication. <<
Right? No one is saying that Hydroxychloroquine and or Ivermectin is a cure all for the Covid virus. These drugs are used to inhibit the replication of the virus in cells thereby keeping folks from dying or becoming seriously ill.
The spin from the media is enough to make one sick as hell.
>>Well, someone should tell the doctors in India, because they are using Ivermectin to kick the shit out of the Delta variant.<<
Japanese health minister has ordered the use of Ivermectin for Covid patients.
Aside from COVID19 is there any history that can be found of this medication being used to treat any other viral disease? If there is, that could settle this current narrative that this medicine is only effective for parasites / worms. If there is not, then who came up with the idea that this medication could treat this particular virus?
It is very difficult to find anything pre-pandemic about this drug because of the explosion of recent articles about it and COVID19.
I haven’t read through the whole paper yet, but looks interesting:
“ In this comprehensive systematic review, antiviral effects of ivermectin are summarized including in vitro and in vivo studies over the past 50 years. Several studies reported antiviral effects of ivermectin on RNA viruses such as Zika, dengue, yellow fever, West Nile, Hendra, Newcastle, Venezuelan equine encephalitis, chikungunya, Semliki Forest, Sindbis, Avian influenza A, Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome, Human immunodeficiency virus type 1, and severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2.“

Ivermectin protocol includes vitamin C, D3, Quecertin, Zinc, aspirin and melatonin. Read directions
That, I don’t know. I think for some reason, she was allergic to it.
How did you get burned using HCQ?
Looks like a Watermelon - Green on the outside, Red on the inside...
I have a bit of a theory about this. What I suspect is happening is that, like in 1918, most people who are getting sick are actually getting upper respiratory diseases because of wearing masks. It could well be that the ivermectin is actually treating these other diseases, and not the virus.
It would be highly effective against such things from what I’ve read.
Sorry, I said pectin, but I meant fructose.
No problem. Ransomnote posted those in an earlier article and it seemed to chase away the dumb bunnies. It seems to have had the same results on this thread too. Guess we will have to wait to see what their handlers tell them what to say, if anything.
Exactly right. This doctor is misleading people in that regard also. Because of that then I would say he his paid to push propaganda.
I had it in an order set for COVID patients when after 150 patients without effect ut should have been removed.
Or was this something you got charged for in the "order set for COVID patients"?
“if it inhibits replication of the virus then doesn’t it give your own immune system a much better chance to beat it? “
absolutely, and essentially ALL anti-virals and most antibiotics function by inhibiting replication, thereby halting the exponential replication of pathogens that overwhelm the bodies natural defenses, but instead keep the numbers in check sufficiently for the bodies natural defenses to defeat the pathogenic invasion ...
all educated medical personnel understand that it’s axiomatic that antivirals in particular work best when given as soon as possible during an infection, nince the admonition to treat influenza and shingles with specific antivirals within 48 hours of symptoms ...
No I never got COVID. I just kept HCQ in an order set for too long.
Looks like water is much more dangerous than Ivermectin if the normal dose of water is 8 oz.
As a joke. Didn't think I needed the /sarc. Apparently, I was wrong. There's a first time for everything, I guess.
Do what you want but he is parsing or the reporters are.
About Ivermectin. I have taken it when working in Africa, no problem, none at all.

I have not figure out who is managing this site but it is chock full of referenced information on all manner of treatments.
Maybe the good Doctor can explain the dramatic cures of Ivermectin in India and African Nations?
