PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto wants the city council to approve a $2.5 million universal basic income program.
According to our partners at TribLive.com, the money would come from federal COVID-19 pandemic relief funding. Peduto said the program would provide monthly cash payments to Black women. It’s not clear if it is exclusionary or not as the full details of the pilot program have not yet been released.
The program is already being tested in other cities around the country where people get monthly cash payments. According to NPR, randomly selected people living at or below Stockton, California’s average household income are getting $500 cash payments each month for two years. In Jackson, Mississippi, The Washington Post reports a pilot program is giving 20 Black single mothers who live in public housing $1,000 each month for a year with no strings attached.

The Mayor nor the city council has such authority to provide a certain demographic with undeserved compensation. Giving public money to someone just because they are a certain skin color, race or gender is a form of political graft. aka: vote buying.
It serves no other purpose but to create and maintain plantation dependency. A form of oppression/control through mental conditioning upon a targeted demographic as a means to subjugate their dependency, which in turn guarantees their vote.
Will the “conservatives” on the Court have the guts to do the right thing with these reparation payments? Or will some of them cave like other “conservatives” did with affirmative action?
So many things wrong with this...
