Can you not ask the dosages that we’re given to those who received the NAC?

That would be good to know.

NAC is also reported to be helpful in recovering from several respiratory illnesses, including China virus.

Dosages for that vary, depending on whose protocol you read or follow.

NAC has been pulled from Amazon and a few other online supplement vendors.

I think you can gugle it to find who still sells it.

NOW, Jarrow and Doctor’s Best seem to be popular brands, from what I’ve read, here.

I hope you have vi to yes success with your son’s treatment.

Keep us posted, please.

I got NAC at Wal*Mart as a prophylactic for COVID. $20 for 250 pills, 600mg each. Take it once a day. Haven’t noticed any changes.

Talk to the study people. Its the ethical thing to do. They spent a lot of money trying to get the double blind results. They should be able to help get you medicine that is part of a trial.

You can buy NAC 1000mg on Amazon <20 for 120 tabs. Just use the same dose he was on before.. I am not a doctor, but 500 or 1000mg per day might be ok.

It is good for all kinds of things, so I’m not surprised it helps tinnitus.

I used to buy it from Amazon. Unfortunately, they no longer sell it. The FDA is attacking these supplements.

My wife is an Audiologist and is a tinnitus expert and recommends NAC for her patients. 600 mg/day.

The bottle says 1 -3 times per day, but I have no idea on dosages for the study your son was in.

We were using 600mg tabs as a prophylactic for Covid, but one wants to take at least twice as much vitamin C to go along with it...so I’m told.
FWIW, pedoJoe and his little band of merry morons are trying hard to get it pulled off the OTC market and made “prescription only” after 60 years of being on the OTC market. I must work too well treating their CCP-coordinated covid virus. /s
We usually get ours on line from Swanson’s vitamins.

Generally, the suggestion is 800 to 1,200 a day...but spread to at least two or three occasions over the day. I’ve taken them since December...mostly one per day and in the 600 range per capsule.

I’ve been taking a single 600 mg tablet once a day since March of last year.

I have not noticed any change, good or bad re: tinnitus.

I use the “OGF” at robkellermd.com It has other ingredients, vit C, L-Glutamine, Alpha Lipoic Acid. They recommend 6 capsules per day which is 750 mg NAC. It’s expensive but for me, worth it.

One thing I’ve found is its effects are cumulative. That is, if you take it regularly for a while, you can skip, sometimes for months, and keep the benefits. I originally took it because a relative was selling it and noticed after just a few days that my hands, which had been aching in the morning, didn’t anymore. That was what sold me.

I’m not a pill-taker and forget to take it quite often. If my hands start hurting in the morning, it reminds me to start taking again. The original dosage was 3 capsules in the morning and 3 in the evening. They’ve changed it to 6 in the morning. I don’t know what that’s all about.

Here is something else to look into that is part of the whole NAC process in your body.

Glutathione.

Medcram has gone into detail on it in several videos.

Early on in Covid a medical resident used it on his hospitalized mother and thought it helped her with Covid.

There is some kind of absorption issue with Glutathione so I bought this last year

https://www.quicksilverscientific.com/all-products/glutathione/

I need to buy some more and try it for the ear ringing.

N-Acetyl Cysteine

N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) is a metabolite of the sulfur-containing amino acid, Cysteine. Cysteine is found in high protein foods, N-Acetyl Cysteine is not. N-Acetyl Cysteine is produced within the human body. Cysteine plays a role in the sulfation cycle, acting as a sulfur donor in phase II detoxification and as a methyl donor in the conversion of homocysteine to methionine. Cysteine also helps synthesize glutathione, one of the body’s most important natural antioxidants and detoxifiers. N-Acetyl-Cysteine is the acetylated form of L-Cysteine.

N-Acetyl Cysteine increases Glutathione Levels
N-Acetyl Cysteine is rapidly metabolized to intracellular glutathione. Glutathione acts as a powerful antioxidant in the body. Glutathione also detoxifies chemicals into less harmful compounds. N-Acetyl Cysteine also protects the body from acetaminophen toxicity and is used in hospitals for patients with acetaminophen poisoning. It has also been shown to be effective at treating liver failure from other causes as well.

N-Acetyl Cysteine Chelates Heavy Metals
Heavy metals like lead, mercury and arsenic are detoxified and removed from the body by N-Acetyl Cysteine . It also increases the excretion of zinc and other essential minerals when taken over an extended period. It is therefore necessary to supplement zinc, copper and other trace minerals when taking N-Acetyl Cysteine.

N-Acetyl Cysteine and the Immune System
Glutathione is known to aid in the transport of nutrients to lymphocytes and phagocytes, two major classes of immune cells, and to protect cell membranes. While purified glutathione is available as a dietary supplement, absorption is low, and N-Acetyl Cysteine is thought to be a better method of boosting cellular glutathione levels. N-Acetyl Cysteine is being investigated as a treatment for AIDS.

N-Acetyl Cysteine Breaks up Mucus
N-Acetyl Cysteine cleaves disulfide bonds by converting them to two sulfhydryl groups. This action results in the breakup of mucoproteins in lung mucus, reducing their chain lengths and thinning the mucus, improving conditions such as bronchitis and flu. Double-blind research has found that N-Acetyl Cysteine supplements improved symptoms and prevented recurrences in people with chronic bronchitis. N-Acetyl Cysteine at a dosage of 1,200 mg per day helps to prevent Influenza infection, reduces the symptoms of existing Influenza infection and reduces the duration of Influenza infections.

N-Acetyl Cysteine and Cancer
N-Acetyl CysteineN-Acetyl Cysteine has been shown to reduce the proliferation of certain cells lining the colon and may reduce the risk of colon cancer in people with recurrent polyps in the colon. Its action as an antioxidant and a glutathione precursor may also contribute to a protective effect against cancer.

N-Acetyl Cysteine Cautions
When taking N-acetyl cysteine it is recommended that two to three times as much vitamin C be taken at the same time. Failure to do so may result in more harm than good from taking this product because of the prolonged presence of the oxidized form of L-Cysteine. The vitamin C also helps keep the glutathione that is produced from the Cysteine in its reduced form so that it can continue acting as an antioxidant.

N-Acetyl Cysteine Dosage
Typical dosage recommendations are in the range of 250-1500mg of NAC daily for the majority of therapeutic benefits.

N-Acetyl Cysteine Safety
NAC is considered safe for consumption in its therapeutic dosage ranges. Individual reactions may vary and anyone experiencing adverse symptoms while taking N-Acetyl Cysteine should discontinue it. 500 mg to 1500mg works quite well.

Where to Get N-Acetyl Cysteine

Available from Pure Bulk vitamins Roseburg OR 888 280 0050 They are prompt and reliable. There are some other places as well.

And while you are reading this pay attention to the paragraph where it states to always take NAC with two to three times as much vitamin C in order to derive its benefits. This is something most users fail to do and then wonder why it doesn’t work as well.

There are brand name prescription versions (put-ups) of N-Acetyl Cysteine. N-Acetyl Cysteine is metabolized into the amino acid Cysteine and glutathione.

As tablets of NAC or as in nebulized inhalant mist-to reduce build up of mucous in the lungs. See product brand named Mucomyst at:

https://www.drugs.com/search.php?searchterm=Mucomyst&sources%5B%5D=

It is clear the FDA is trying to “push” for the advantages of the Pharma prescription system (which IS part of the agreement made long ago between the Food and Drug Administration. What the FDA does is “regulate” Foods and Drugs.. as being whatever they determine EITHER to be to make regulatory judgements that the law creating the FDA says they have the power to do. Like ANY other fedgov agency.) The Pure Food and Drug Act passed in 1906 was done in the very real need to stop the horrific food industry filthy practice and quack medicine fraud, also created the FDA so for good reasons from that time and since. A very different time in US history. Laudanum was over the counter and many people addicted to many bottles a day (opium) for example... habituated and addicted people very common.

FDA has MANY times overstepped their legal authority for the sake of... frankly legalized graft, and, since the head of the FDA is a political position, just like other agencies-— well the politics devolves from that, and creates what we have today, infiltrated as it is with globalist socialists.

The CDC likewise has taken it upon themselves to police people’s freedoms as being “disease preventing” in the same manner- having NOTHING to do with reality and purposely ignoring Constitutional law and Rights which are not granted to the People by government but are already there and the government may NOT infringe on them.

I’ve used NAC to break up the mucous in my sinuses for years. I’m an adult but I take 500 to 1000 mg a day when I’m taking it. I think it’s pretty safe.
