A flash flood warning was issued for LaPlace on the west side of Lake Pontchartrain as Hurricane Ida, now a Category 2 storm, makes its way north through Louisiana:

I saw a tweet of someone pleading for help for her grandparents.

Like anyone can be out in this weather to evacuate people who chose to stay.

I don’t get why if they realize it’s so dangerous for her grandparents, that they don’t realize that it’s dangerous for rescue personnel as well.
