“Dear God, either turn him to You or remove him.”
How is that prayer?
My best friend for years was our preacher’s wife. A woman in the church was being horrendously abused by her husband and wouldn’t, or couldn’t, leave him. There were a lot of prayers for her health and safety.
Finally, the last prayer seemed to work. Please, God, remove him from the situation. He died about a month later.
