Thousands of teachers are planning to gather in over 115 cities across the U.S. this weekend to protest legislation reining in critical race theory.
The “Days of Action” and the “Teach Truth Pledge” event, hosted by the Zinn Education Project, will take place Aug. 27 through Aug. 29. The events across the country are advertised as raising “public awareness about the danger” of bills to counter critical race theory.
Critical race theory holds that America is fundamentally racist and teaches people to view every social interaction and person in terms of race.
In at least 27 states, legislators have introduced or enacted legislation that imposes limits on curricula discussing racism, sexism, and oppression in American history, ABC News reported.
Many of the bills would prohibit teaching that “one race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex,” or that “an individual, by virtue of the individual’s race or sex, is inherently privileged, racist, sexist or oppressive, whether consciously or subconsciously,” according to ABC News.

Given the political and military situation in the world today, I don’t think there’s any place on the planet where one’s security against violence can be assured. That said, I’m thinking of emigrating to one of the eastern European countries, or one of the Baltic states. Malta is another possibility. But hey, I’m not naive, there are problems to be faced everywhere.

IF the Teachers wanted to stop this and the sexual perversion education, they could in a heart beat. They don’t want to stop it, or they would easily. Just like the mandates for bilingual language classes, no discipline, no suspension and retards in normal classes, they love it. In my state they get paid around $100K plus benefits. Now with Covid, they have to have half of the class sizes, so double the teachers....WEEE HOOEY
Most teachers are liberals, as are most librarians. I searched our local library’s website for biographies for children, and every single result was leftist crap. Some of it was alarming, like the book about how the mothers of MLK, James Baldwin, and Malcolm X changed the world. There was a book about “brave Michelle Obama”, several books on kids who are supposedly changing the world, and biographies of various 3rd world kids. Not a single book about any of the founding fathers, any conservatives, or any American heroes of any kind. When I go to the library with my grandkids, the liberal garbage books are always prominently displayed. The US education system is a lost cause.
So why are the cities not published in this article?
Far better even than bills banning the teaching of critical race theory in schools would be vouchers.
Let parents decide where to send their kids to school. Let them pick and choose whether to send their kids to schools that teach this garbage or ones that teach their kids actual knowledge and skills they will need to earn a living and be good citizens.
In other words, destroy the NEA at a stroke. Let them teach all the CRT they want......of course the schools that employ them will go out of business in a flash and they will be out of a job the next day but hey - that’s the free market.

I’m not sure that it’s a desire to get away from violence as much as it is to just be somewhere where things make sense - no PC, no lies from leaders, no tearing down of traditions and country, no labeling of others who have different opinions. The list is really endless. BUT if there are politicians alive anywhere in the world, the rest is sure to follow. So it’s really a hollow desire.. Stay and fight as best we can, I guess.
