that is BS, they might fire you but that is YOUR money!
I used to work Unemployment. Unemployment Insurance is money (a tax) paid by the Employer. It works like car insurance. When an employee makes a claim and is awarded benefits, the employers unemployment insurance tax goes. Employees never pay into the Unemployment Insurance fund.
So no, it is not YOUR money.
I figured that was coming. It’s a catch 22. If you quit you don’t get unemployment and if they fire you for (cause) like refusing a company mandate you’re out too. What’s worse you will loose insurance and other company benefits for something that should be illegal if we had ANY decent justice system.
Just go into some kind of company paid rehab for 8 weeks.
Done.
