The married couple shot dead in Utah was seen relaxing at a local bar the night before they went missing — when they told friends about a “weirdo” camping near them, according to a report.
Kylen Schulte, 24, and Crystal Beck, 38 — who wed in April — smiled and chatted with friends in their Moab local, Woody’s Tavern, in footage obtained by the Daily Beast.
“We were just having a great time, having a couple of drinks, and all they said was there was a creep [staying] next to them,” said Kayla Borza, who was one of the last people to see the couple alive.

Law enforcement doesn’t help, get big, armed, male friendster abandon the gear. My guess, he creeped them out enough that they had already packed everything in the van, and they went back to a different campsite that wasn’t far enough away.
Should be, “friends, or abandon the gear”
I didn't realize the name Kylen we a female name, and my first thought was "he survived a cougar attack, only to have this happen."

There are lots of people I would consider undesirable milling about. Not much you can do until they break the law.
We don’t know that this guy killed anyone. It could have a different undesirable - heck there are so many of them out there.

Sure, proactive cops couldn’t arrest him, but they could provide the women an escort if needed, and they could i.d. the guy and let him know he was on their radar.
They could even warn other campers.

Nice to know if someone’s mother or daughter or sister gets murdered, there’ll be some upstanding citizens with traditional moral values here to comment on their knockers.
