The small town community of Hamilton in West MI had special meeting of the school board to have a work session. Over the prior weekend, the local county health official mandated masks for children K-6 nullifying a board-approved mask optional directive from 3 days prior. Over 50 irate parents showed up at the meeting to voice their concern and disapproval of the new county edict. Upon entering the room, the board president Mr. Randle informed parents that there would be no public comment. When a point of order was made that there must be public comment, Mr. Randle stated that it was within his rights to decide if public comment was allowed. Ensuing chaos began and the BP immediately adjoined the meeting. This is a violation of the MI Open Meetings Act. Parents need to paralyze these boards that won't listen.
Nothing about dismissing school board officials. The "nullify" can just mean the health people can impose a requirement, and the school board has no power to contest it.
You know, adjoined ...
... like "Yutes"
Is that you Jeb!
We live in the age of government defiance to superior governments and if the leftist use these political tactics then so must Republicans. That board could refuse to enforce mask mandates but they will not. The parents need to punish, dissolve, and elect a new board fighting leftist diktats without retreat.
Jeb!, being weak is not a virtue and only fools play a rigged game by the rules.
Spot on!
The author was from the Bronx.
About 25 yrs ago I happened to read a NEA mag...somewhere. After reading that crap I told my children I would not pay for their education if they chose to be public school teachers.
Plus get cut out of my will!

A sharp blow to the base of the skull can cause temporary or permanent paralysis. Sometimes death, but ehh.
The tyranny of government has now trickled down to the local governments.
